One of the nicest holiday homes we’ve stayed in. If you’re looking for a cosy cottage, this won’t necessarily appeal. It’s quite obviously a 1930s semi which has been modernised and extended over time and whilst I’m no estate agent, I would think it’s pretty much ‘good to go’ on the sales market - the internal finish is that good. Amongst its USPs as a holiday home are the 10 minute walk into Ludlow’s historic centre, large and very well equipped kitchen, TVs in each of the 3 bedrooms (which in total sleep 6), games room with air hockey, pool table, large garden, and a welcome pack comprising 2 bottles of wine, home-made cakes and a bottle of milk, the latter being what most welcome packs consist of! Also the largest selection of local information folders I’ve ever seen. It’s in a quiet residential street with ample off-road parking. Absolutely no complaints!

This is a lovely home from home. The owners were welcoming. It is well situated to walk into the village easily with plenty of parking and good access to main routes around the area. It has a marvellous "play room" and a good range of games with some lovely children's books.

This is the best place we have ever stayed in, and we have been in a lot. It was very comfortable and spacious and the games room is fab for all ages. It was all you could need and more and the garden is a credit to the owner. We have just got back today and have booked for next year before writing this review to make sure we get in.

The house was well situated, being only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Ludlow, and was the best equipped house we have ever stayed in. I'd say it was a home from home, if our home was better.

We have rented houses both abroad and in this country and this has to be the best house for equipment and comfort. The games room was brilliant and the garden beautiful. Would recommend it to all.

An amazing property, had everything that we needed and it was close to town.

Rated by Mrs Gambles reviewed on 20th June 2015

This house was of an excellent standard throughout; the kitchen had every possible need catered for, the lounge and bedrooms were very comfortable, and the the whole house was spotless. The location is perfect for an easy walk into town, and the added benefit of the parking for two+ cars. There is even a small corner shop for all those essentials within a 5 minute walk. We found the house to be a perfect base for touring the area sightseeing, and a perfect homely feel to relax in at night times. We would love to return!

Rated by Mr Mack reviewed on 7th March 2015

The house was immaculately kept. Lots of extras not expected in a holiday let, i.e. condiments, selection of tea bags, washing up liquid, etc. Lovely owners, who were particularly helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

This was by far the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. The quality of the furniture and fittings was excellent and the owners could not have been friendlier.

This property is exceptional. The visitor wants for nothing. The location is within easy walking distance of the town centre, facilities and area tourist attractions. All possible needs were catered for. The garden is an outstanding creation, extremely pleasurable to relax in. This is without doubt the best holiday property I have stayed in over the previous 45 years. The owners made us very welcome and were immediately available had any problems arisen. All in all an excellent relaxing holiday.

This was the best holiday home we have stayed in. It was so well equipped everything you need is there and more! Particularly enjoyed the games room, haven't played pin ball for years but managed to regain my old skills during the week. Only 10 minutes walk into town. Will certainly go there again.

Booking was again so easy and reliable via Sykes. The property was like stepping back into the '50s, yet the very best of all mod cons. The whole house is equipped to the highest standard, The owner has most definitely aimed and achieved! Sincere thanks.

Rated by Mrs Tope reviewed on 7th February 2014

The house was lovely and was very well equipped with everything you needed. The owners had left a lovely lemon drizzle cake and 2 bottles of wine which was very welcoming and he checked in on us to make sure we had everything. There were folders listing everything you needed to know in the area with maps. The beds were comfy and the lounge had reclining seats which were very relaxing. Altogether a very enjoyable break.

Really well equipped cottage, particularly appreciated the bonus of the games room for entertaining teenage boys. Great location, quiet road but convenient for reaching a variety of places.

Rated by Mrs Roberts reviewed on 23rd August 2013

This was the first time that we have stayed in a cottage and it was a great experience. The accommodation was an overall excellent standard and well equipped. The games room was especially popular with the younger generation, but the extra little touches that the owners provided was what really made the difference.

Rated by Mr James reviewed on 19th July 2013

This is our first experience of staying in a rented holiday cottage and if this is what we can expect it is certainly be something that we will repeat. The booking was easy and swift to make and the matter of collecting the property key completely without any hassles. The property is very well located being about a 10 minute walk from the railway station and a few more minutes walk to the town centre itself but on a residential street so little traffic or noise. The accommodation itself was very comfortable with plenty of room for everyone and was also very well equiped both upstairs and down. There was a games room which the younger generation in particular enjoyed but also a summer house should anyone else want to escape for a while. The grounds were also of a very good standard with plenty of off-road parking at the front and mature gardens at the rear providing plenty of shade. On arrival we found that the owners had left us a few welcoming gifts as well as plenty of brochures for the town and its environs, places to visit, eat, local public transport timetables etc. We met the owners shortly after arrival and they were very friendly and helpful, willing to answer any questions as well as make a few suggestions to enhance our stay. We were certainly helped by gloriously sunny weather but overall we all had a very enjoyable stay and I would certainly recommend it to friends.

Rated by Peter J reviewed on 18th July 2013

The property offered a warm and cosy refuge from the near-freezing, snowy conditions outdoors. Family of 5 from australia couldn't take full advantage of the garden because of the weather (though the snowball fights were fun, but appreciated the games room.

Rated by The Oz5 reviewed on 29th May 2013

The house had plenty of room for the three of us, was very well equipped, clean, comfortable and we were made welcome by the owner. The property is well-situated for the town and bus routes in a very quiet road. The games room was a great success. We would certainly like to return there.

A house full of everything we needed for a holiday!

Rated by Mr Mclaughlin reviewed on 19th April 2013

Sunningdale was by far the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. The owners were fantastic and it was a home away from home, an extremely well equipped home with extras. The games room was brilliant and although we did not have an opportunity to use the garden in November, it is definitely a place I would love to stay at in the summer to take advantage of. Ludlow and the surrounding areas are beautiful. Stunning scenery and a variety of shops and places to visit. There is an excellent choice of places to eat. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a first class holiday and we will definitely return ourselves in the future.

The house is very well equipped, easy access to town, good parking, lots of extras on arrival. Friendly owners. We met our daughter and family there, it is enjoyed by all age groups. The area has lots of places to visit.

Rated by Mr Booker reviewed on 7th October 2012

The overall standard of the property was really good. The seating in garden was very good with sunny position nearly all day. Quiet area which we like and Ludlow just a stroll away. Would certainly recommend this property.

Rated by Mrs Daly reviewed on 25th September 2012

The owner is very pleasant and welcoming, we are going back later this year. The grandchildren loved the games room. Everything needed to make it a home from home is there and lots more!

Rated by Mr Booker reviewed on 25th July 2012
