Reviews

The cottage is situated with uninterrupted views of the loch and mountains, simply stunning. Everything you need in the cottage, very much homely style. Some areas a little tired looking but we found it added to the charm. The tranquil setting, sitting on the verandah overlooking amazing scenery watching the sun go down - breathtaking! We were lucky with excellent weather, to sit out till gone 11pm at night, and it was still very light!

Excellent location, extremely comfortable and warm cottage with plenty of space for everyone and the most spectacular views. I think this is the fifth or sixth time we have visited and noticed lots of improvements like a new cooker hood, lights, better plumbing and, most usefully, the gate to the cottage was much easier to open and close.

We particularly liked being secluded and able to switch off from day to day life. We had a lovely walk and went for a drive too. Thorsvik was a great size, not limited on space at all. Plenty utensils and facilities.

One of the best views from any house in the world. The house is very warm, even in mid winter.

The view from the property was amazing. It was wonderful to watch the ever-changing light over the Cuillin Ridge. Also the kitchen was impressively well-stocked.

The house looked fantastic in the photographs and did not disappoint, and even proved to bigger than we had imagined. Extremely pleased and thankful!

The house had the most spectacular view we had ever seen on Skye. It was spacious, comfortable, warm and homely, with plenty of interesting, relevant books to look at and games to play. Great location.

It was wonderful being somewhere so remote! Peaceful and very restful, though the wireless broadband was an essential to stop us going mad.

We had a fantastic week at Thorsvik (despite the midges!) and the location was amazing - great views, extremely peaceful and the perfect place to relax for a week. The cottage was spacious and well equipped and we would definitely go back another time.

We loved the fact we were based in the middle of nowhere and could go hiking straight from the cottage. The views from the cottage were phenomenal.
