Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th Century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town. With other attractions such as Kendal Museum, Lake Windermere and the wider National Park, this is a superb base for a relaxing break.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

A lovely home away from home. The whole accommodation was even better than we expected. It is a great place to stay if you have children, we loved the large enclosed garden. We'd definitely stay here again.

The cottage was beautifully decorated to a very high standard. It was great it rained so much as we had an excuse to stay in rather than go out! Cannot praise the cottage enough.

This is a fantastic cottage, in a truly beautiful location, surrounded by hills and dales. The owners are very good hosts, a great deal of thought had gone into the outlay of the cottage. The facilities were fantastic; including electronic blind and window openings for the bedrooms, yet still retaining a comfy cottage feel. Highly recommend.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Little Crake Howe. The cottage is a perfect home away from home. Every detail has been carefully planned and the owners have made sure that you will want for nothing; from smart TVs to a kitchen which is incredibly stocked with beautiful crockery. The furnishings and décor are to a high standard and it was immaculately cleaned. It was a delight to return here every evening after exploring the local areas. We would recommend this cottage and hope to return in the future.

We had a fantastic family holiday at Little Crake Howe. The cottage is very well equipped and of a very high standard, a home from home. Our children loved the garden where they could play football and bounce on the trampoline. There is lots to do in the area for all the family, we can't wait to return sometime!

This is excellent property, which is decorated and equipped to a very high standard. We really could not fault it at all. As an added bonus, the cottage is located on a working farm and it was lovely to see the livestock and wildlife nearby. The views of the countryside and hills, were a daily reminder of the great location of the cottage.
