What can I say that hasn't already been said but here goes... Beautiful cottage immaculate inside and out. Photos don't do it justice there was just me and the dog most of the stay and the garden is fenced off and secure plus a dog walk around the track where can be off lead. The wood burner made it so special and cosy. 5 star fitting and fixtures and the wet room amazing, also a deep luxurious bath after long walks. Everything I could of wished for and more. Neil and Gaynor so friendly on site and always somewhere to be found if you need anything. Fresh eggs daily and milk e and coffee plus chocs on arrival and the flowers on arrival made me feel very welcome, I needed a bolt hole re charge under counter fridge and also under counter freezer meant I could a weeks shop and never step out the door, but due to the weather the views and the walks that was never happening could not resist being out there in the countryside. Thank you for having me been a pleasure Penny 7 Oscar dog

We stayed as a family if 4 plus our pet dog for a week. This was a perfect place to stay as a base to visit the southern part of the Yorkshire Dales, including Ingleton & Skipton. The cottage was everything we could ask for; warm, clean & homely. We look forward to staying again.

We stayed for a week at the cottage, upon arrival it was immediately clear that this cottage was very well kept and in beautiful countryside. The cottage has all the necessary facilities such as dishwasher, dryer and washing machine and to a very high standard. We didn’t make use of the log burner, although very tempted, because of the summer temperatures but the whole place was comfortable and accommodating. The dog walk is a nice touch for those who wish to walk their dogs whilst staying at Orcaber, and again the owners keep this and their adjacent campsite spotless. Previous reviews concerning the rear garden have been addressed and it’s now a pleasant fenced off space, however the woman from the neighbouring cottage was quite loose with her colourful language when shouting at the kids and her pet lamb. We had a pleasant stay here and we would definitely return again in the future. Thank you Gaynor and Neil

We stayed here for my brothers 30th birthday for a long weekend. 6 adults & 1 dog, some lovely little touches on arrival, some spare dog towels & a pint of milk in the fridge. Lovely cottage which has been decorated with a farm house style. Waking up to a view of the fields & mountains around was perfect. The cottage is in a good location, it took us around 25mins to walk to the pub which is friendly & welcomes dogs. Across from the cottage there is also an on site dog walk. I would go again & would recommend

Wonderful pet friendly cottage in the Yorkshire Dales on a working farm. Great sized home for three generations of family for half term week. The cottage has wonderful amenities and is in a good location. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. Would recommend for family and friends.

About a mile walk into Austwick it self. A pretty village but nothing much going on there. The pub The Game Cock Inn Is a very friendly place both customers and staff alike. The food served there is good, however although my Sunday Roast was okay, I would probably go for something else next time. The Cottage itself is immaculate. It certainly has had someone with good taste buying the accessories, towels etc. It has been furnished to a very high standard. Kitchen units, doors, everything has been done with taste. I would have no hesitation recommending this cottage, its beautiful. The centre seat of the settee is uncomfortable as some of the springs have broke, but maybe the owner isn't unaware of this. If I had seen them this morning I would have mentioned it as it just doesn't go with the rest. We had two dogs with us and the owners have created a dog walk area which was great to walk them first thing in a morning. Having now stayed there I would say the only thing for me was the lack of a closed off garden. You were unable just to let them out as obviously there are other dogs, horses and riders and cars going back and forth and the area is dangerous for everyone. To have been able just to have opened the door and let them go in your own closed in garden would have been fantastic. It is, after all, a working farm. If you have an obedient dog, it may work for you. That is the only reason I have marked it down. As most of the Yorkshire Dales some beautiful walking area's all either a short drive away or from your own doorstep. I would more then likely recommend this immaculate cottage with its beautiful log fire.

Brilliant. Beautiful barn/farm house conversion into a lovely and modern holiday let. Our friends rented the cottage and invited us along for the weekend and we were not disappointed. The log burner meant that we were nice and toasty as it was quite frosty outside. The fixtures and fittings were of a high standard and the owners of the farm were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

We particularly liked the surprising friendliness and warmth of the Yorkshire folks, only improved by the owners. Our children were happy with stroking the horses, dangling their feet over the footbridge over the Beck, racing on their bikes with perfect safety on the track within the farm. The hens were friendly too and so was the black cat and the dogs. An authentic old farm with the very best 5* conversion within. Please, please thank them on our behalf.

The cottage provided exceptionally comfortable and luxurious accommodation. The attention to detail, décor and furnishing made our stay delightful and memorable and the property is a credit to its owners, who were welcoming and helpful. The location is lovely, with easy access to a wonderfully scenic area of the Dales. One of the loveliest and most relaxing holidays we have ever had. Will definitely consider a return visit.

The bedrooms were gorgeous as were the bathroom and on suite ( loved it!!) Especialy after the 3 peak challenge of 24 miles! We ate at the pub in Austwick..1 mile away, again 5 stars. They accomodated us last minute on a BH sunday and were so friendly and the food was fab, we have very differnt tastes as a family but all of us were happy indeed. My wife, three children (8,7,1) and our dog stayed here for a week during the Easter holidays. We were welcomed by the hosts with a roaring fire and flowers which was most welcome after our 6 hour journey in the car. The cottage is beautiful - particularly the bathrooms and bedrooms which are to a very high standard. It's in a great part of N Yorks and there was plenty nearby to occupy us during the week (Ingleton falls, steam railway at Embsay, Bolton Abbey). A really great week and we would definitely book again.

The owners were helpful and inviting, any questions or any needs, they were there to help. The cottage was amazing, so warm and cosy and decorated to a very high standard. The views were incredible and it was a great base for Lake Windermere and for beautiful walks. We had 2 dogs and they loved the garden. We enjoyed it so much that we asked to stay longer but unfortunately it was booked. We will be booking again for next year!

The cottage was lovely and cosy, it was good for my little boy with it being open plan downstairs, the woodburner gave it a really homely feel. Upstairs the bedrooms were given a really luxury feel with expensive linen and towels. The bathrooms were excellent. Overall a fabulous cottage in a great location!

We received a warm welcome from the owners, lights on and wood burner lit so it had a nice cosy feel as soon as you get there. A fantastic property with lots of space for five people, all the fittings and furnishings are very good quality. Thank you for a great cottage, we'll definitely be back.

Fully equipped modern kitchen with every detail included. Central log burner and underfloor heating, constant heat, hot water and every detail necessary from hand soap dispenser to tea towels. Brilliant bathrooms including a walk in shower. THE most comfortable beds. The owners were friendly and very helpful, advice on the area, places to eat, visit, walks etc although everything had been thought of. Would stay there again. So peaceful....great for star gazing.....
