Reviews

Cosy, comfortable, squeaky clean two bed cottage was warm and very homely - we settled in immediately with our two dogs and our son and his partner. Everything is provided except your food and washing powder (if you bother doing washing ;) ! ) and the heating and hot water are more than adequate. Take a robe or a couple of extra towels though, if you like an extra one for your hair etc. A lovely large garden area is pleasant to sit in (no midges to speak of) and have an evening drink. I sat and painted all the views on one lovely hot day. There is a huge mown field right next door, which our dogs loved and the view to the sea is wonderful! Our hosts, Sue and Jon, are very friendly and welcoming and are always happy to help with a query. Be warned - if you are a city-driver, your first journey up the lane to the cottage may appear to be a little surprising but it is actually fine - Jon gets his sports car up there and our 12 year old Meriva had no difficulty at all. The beauty of this area cannot be overstated - postcard views round every corner and fresh seafood at almost every eatery. It is fairly isolated - which suited us perfectly - but totally accessible to Inverary, Lochgilphead, Craobh Haven and Oban - all pleasant drives on good roads with little other traffic. Basically, I didn't want to come home and seriously want to live in that area - the people are so friendly and the dogs were absolutely spoiled by all the attention. Loved it!

Pictures do not do this glorious cottage justice. It is beautifully finished, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owners are very friendly and a font of knowledge. Local pub is very acceptable for evening meals. We will definitely be coming back !

The cottage was extremely clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The owners were most helpful and accommodating. An ideal location for our dogs, providing a secure and expansive area for them to play in. The location offers stunning views and nearby access to local beauty spots. This was our third visit to this cottage and we intend to return again.

The cottage is kept absolutely spotless. The owners were very welcoming and very approachable during our stay. The cottage is situated in stunning scenery and there is so much to do, we didn't have enough time to fit it all in a week so we will be going back next year for two weeks.

The cottage is set in a beautiful location with stunning views. The property was clean, cosy and well equipped. It was ideal for our dogs as it was safe, secure and allowed them plenty of room to run free. The owners are friendly and most helpful without being intrusive. The location of the property is ideal for sightseeing and there is a lot to see.

The cottage is beautiful and the owners couldn't be more helpful. The gardens and paddock are beautifully manicured and the scenery is just breathtaking. Our dogs settled straight away and loved the space to run around in. We enjoyed every minute!

The cottage is in a beautiful location and is very safe if you have dogs or children. The hosts are great very funny and my husband was in heaven with all the toys available. The cottage is compact but has almost everything you need and it is very warm and cosy. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the local Tesco makes shopping easy. We only need nice beaches and although it was a drive to the best one it was a great one. The cottage was very clean and well equipt apart from the lack of a dishwasher and a larger double bed would be better but these are very minor issues. We will go back.

The cottage was snug and cosy, but with plenty of room for us. All modern conveniences, and a well-equipped kitchen. Plenty to do around and about, really interesting historical area, nice beaches and gardens. Pretty close to Oban for the supermarket, and enough places around to eat out for a short break. I would highly recommend this property to friends, and have already done so!

Everything about the accommodation was really good. A warm and friendly welcome and the owners were very helpful, lending us books and maps on local walks etc. Best cottage we have stayed in. Good layout and very well equipped. Can't praise highly enough. A*

Very clean and everything was supplied. The owners were very friendly. We expected to be cold in Scotland in February, but if anything, the heating in the cottage made us feel too warm!
