Reviews

Quiet rural setting on working farm. Generally disappointed in cottage accommodation, but area lovely and well worth exploring. Small kitchen area. Cupboards dated and bit smelly. Plenty of utensils/crockery etc but not much spare storage space for your own stuff really. Fridge and oven worked fine. Take your own tea towels as ones provided hopeless and have no absorbency value at all. Bathroom towels fine though. Nice small patio area. Good wifi. No phone signals on either of our mobiles (different networks). Low soft settees. Living space would be tight for 4 adults. Water very hot and good pressure. Cobwebs and spiders more than would have expected, even for a rural setting. Perhaps needs new cleaner as looked generally tired and in need of spring clean. Plenty of good touring information provided.

A lovely setting with adequate accommodation, antique furniture and beautiful curtains. However, the place needed a really good clean. Thick dust and cobwebs in every room. The windows hadn't been cleaned in a while and the bathrooms and kitchen were particularly grimy. Hopefully, now that this has been reported to the agents, the matter will be seen to. Otherwise a very pretty addition to the main farmhouse building.

The cottage is in an excellent location, attached to the main farm house. There is ample parking at the cottage. The layout was perfect for 4 people with both bedrooms having an ensuite. It was fully equipped including wifi. We enjoyed BBQs on the enclosed patios in the evening in the sun. Sue, the owner was very friendly and gave us advice on places to eat. Would definitely stay again & recommend it.

The cottage arrangement of two bedrooms and two bathrooms was ideal for us and the beds were really comfortable. Everything was just as we wanted and more, especially the newly born lambs! Needless to say, we will be returning.

Enjoyed the ambience and location of Colly Cottage very much. The fact you can walk across country as soon as you step out your door is a plus. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, also knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely recommend this Cottage to others.

The peace and quiet was great even though the weather was very noisy at night, high winds and rain. Wonderful views and helpful owners.

Absolutely superb in every single way. Beautiful, comfortable cottage in lovely surroundings and in a stunning area, with plenty to do and see, both on the coast and inland. Don't miss the market in Bridport on Saturdays, and be sure to visit the Washingpool farm shop, just up the road from Colly Cottage. Excellent eateries in Bridport and West Bay. Dorchester and Sherborne are not far away, and well worth a visit. Likewise The Hive Beach Café at Burton Bradstock and the Swannery at Abbotsbury.

The cottage was extremely well furnished and very comfortable. The owners could not have been more helpful. The location was excellent for walking and good places to eat. Lots going on, and the surrounding countryside is truly beautiful. The icing on the cake was the lovely weather while we were staying there. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family and we look forward to a return visit at some point in the not too distant future.

The cottage was very warm, cosy and welcoming. The location, near to lovely Bridport was excellent, rural yet easily accessible and the owners were friendly and helpful. We loved the fact that we were able to walk with our dog through the fields near the cottage. We hope to return.

The owners were extremely helpful and a delightful couple. The cottage is set in idyllic countryside and is very peaceful; it was most comfortable and relaxing.

The accommodation fitted our needs perfectly - A ground floor bedroom with EN suite facilities for the disabled member of our group, and a spacious upstairs room with its own EN suite toilet and shower facilities for us. The dog was catered for by acres of ground, including a lake and attached fields. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly, even arranging our first evening's dining! The location was excellent - within a short drive of bustling Bridport, and a little further to west bay and the coast. Lyme Regis should also have been close, but our visit coincided with major Roadworks across the area! It was a lovely break and we would recommend it to anyone: A beautiful spot in a beautiful county.

The cottage was home from home, very comfortable beds too.QuietChristine If you like being out in the sticks, and don't mind narrow roads , this is for you! close to Bridport, which has lots going on. We hope to return next year! when hopefully Britain will enjoy better weather. The roads were very muddy, but to be expected after all the rain, We visited in October.
