The barn conversion was completed to a very high standard. The owners were very friendly and had lots of suggestions of places to visit. Would recommend to everyone.

With underfloor heating, an Aga and a woodburner the entire building was toasty warm throughout our stay, great to come back to after a day walking over the local hills. The owners live next door and are very accommodating.

A relaxing stay with amazing views from an outstanding barn conversion. The owners are lovely people although they respect your privacy. Would love to go back.

The barn was spectacular and the scenery was amazing.

Rated by Mr Drake reviewed on 11th July 2015

A wonderful building to stay in, "holiday cottage" seems inappropriate for such a beautiful re-creation of a 16th century barn. A wonderful space & lovely craftsmanship throughout. Had helpful & hospitable owners. A very unique place.

An outstanding property in beautiful surroundings - fabulous.

Rated by Mrs Hunter reviewed on 10th June 2015

The barn is exceptional and we were very comfortable, even more so because the owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. Ty Camlad is the best accommodation we've stayed in over several years of cottage holidays. The location is ideal for the Shropshire hills and exploring mid-Wales. Many thanks to the owners for making us so welcome, and providing such outstanding accommodation.

The accommodation was of the highest quality and only surpassed by the hosts. Will enjoy returning to this property. It is ideally situated for so many wonderful areas in Shropshire and Wales.

A beautifully converted barn, would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to all.

A superb holiday let, beautifully renovated with a very warm welcome from the owners. The property is huge with lots of space to spread out and the well equipped kitchen was great for cooking in. We also loved the wood burner and the grand piano, which really added to the luxurious feel of the property.

Ty Camlad is a stunning barn that has been refurbished to a luxurious standard with exposed wooden beams and breathtaking high ceilings. It is like stepping into your very own Grand Designs (complete with photo book to show the refurbishment!). The owners warmly welcomed us on arrival and provided lots of helpful ideas on where to visit during our short stay (including an OS map for walks which was useful to help navigation in the snow). The Stiperstones walk was beautiful, made even better by returning to light the log burner, and dry our walking boots by the Aga. We had the most relaxing peaceful break in an area of the country we didn't previously know. There was lots to do and our only regret was not staying longer than the short break. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ty Camlad to friends, family or anyone reading this review.

It was perfect for our romantic, relaxed holiday.

Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The property was absolutely stunning and had everything we could have needed or desired. Would definitely consider returning in years to come.

Rated by Mr Waghorn reviewed on 29th December 2014

Above and beyond expectations, it was very warm & welcoming on arrival and the barn conversion was amazing, everything we could wish for. We had a wonderful week - great places to visit, great days out then a beautiful cottage to return to. Cannot thank the owners enough for a great week in their barn conversion. Recommend this property very highly, could not fault it in any way.

Rated by Mr James reviewed on 29th November 2014

Barn conversion was spacious and very characterful. Owners were friendly and warm . Location was well sited for walking and the walks were plentiful and varied.

Rated by Mr Bratt reviewed on 8th November 2014

The barn is ideally located to get easily into the Shropshire hills and to Offa's Dyke as walking was one of the reasons for visiting the area . It is also a quiet setting to relax and unwind. The Jones family were on hand if required to answer questions and helpfully provide some aga cookbooks in the property. The free log basket with others available to purchase thereafter is great although the property was snug with warmth from the aga so I did not use them. I will recommend the property to others without hesitation and am looking for dates to book in 2015.

Rated by Miss Offer reviewed on 25th October 2014

This is a first class holiday let and of exceptional quality and comfort. We will have no hesitation in recommending to friends and are quite likely to visit again in the future ourselves. Of particular note was the friendliness of the owners who made our holiday extremely enjoyable. The whole area is wonderful. You should be grateful that the owners have chosen Sykes Cottages to advertise their holiday let.
