Reviews

My wife, daughter and I stayed here for a week as a relaxing break away from the city and something different. We've never done self catering before and this was a great first experience. I'd been to Skye climbing in the past but only stayed in hostels. We went to Portree, the Old man of Storr, faery pools, Eilean Donan Castle, Staffin beach (to hunt dinosaur fossils but ended up in the muesum lol) and Taigh Ailean for an amazing meal. This cottage is absolutely stunning! We crammed in a lot in a week but looked forward to returning to this cozy cottage everyday. The views morning, mid-day and night are stunning! Its well equipped, modernised, comfortable, spacious and SO RELAXING. Its so peaceful and quiet! The owner kindly put together a portfolio with helpful advice which was very much appreciated and we enjoyed reading the brief history about how the cottage came to be. Its been well looked after over the years and we feel privileged to have stumbled across this hidden little gem tucked away on the corner of Skye.

A comfortable, spacious and clean house. Lovely views from all the front windows and a short walk down to a nice little bay when the tide is out. Very quiet location.

Beautiful view and a stunning cottage. The pictures of it on line do not do it justice. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. This is a great place.

What a beautiful place, Myself and My Husband dont really do walking as both in our 50's we love to get away from it all and have a peaceful relaxing time without all the noise and pollution, This was perfect for us ! We did a couple of walks to fairy pools and old man of storr, but much preferred to stay at the House and have a beer whilst sitting at the picnic bench and enjoying the breathtaking views, absolutely spectacular. Had a visit every day from a Roe Deer that loved to venture into the garden and the birds singing to us, very relaxing and great way to recharge the old batteries. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.! I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK PLEASE SELL ME YOUR HOUSE !!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bayview Cottage. The bay at the front of the house was a great source of adventure for the children. The views were beautiful. The cottage had we needed for our week away and was well equipped and nicely furnished. It was easy to get to all the places that we wanted to across the island. We would love to come back again.

This was our first holiday in a cottage, and we were very impressed. The cottage was clean, spacious and well equipped. The view over the bay was beautiful, and it was lovely to wake up to this view every morning.

The views from the house are just stunning with views across the bay to MacLeod's Tables. The beach in the bay is just at the end of a short path. Set back from the road and in a large garden it provided a sense of space and privacy. The décor is understated simplicity which feels peaceful. The house was beautifully clean and felt like home from home. The islanders we met were all incredibly polite and welcoming.

The cottage was comfortable and had wonderful views. It was lovely to have a well equipped cottage to come back to in the evening.

Rated by Mrs Sinclair reviewed on 17th June 2013

The location of the property was second to none, with fantastic views over the lochs and islands. It has a beach immediately opposite, which we paddled our sea kayaks from, and swam in the loch. The cottage was warm and comfortably furnished.
