Three bedrooms: 1 x king size double, 1 x ground floor double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner.
Wincle 1 mile. Set on the owners small working livestock farm, on the edge of the Peak District National Park, is this lovely detached barn conversion. The drive up to this cottage is simply spectacular, surrounded by beautiful sweeping countryside. Entry is directly into the kitchen, with a large dining space and a step down into the sitting area with its cosy woodburner, the perfect place to settle beside after a long country walk. A door leads out to the front patio area, where you can sit and take in those beautiful views. Off the kitchen is a ground floor shower room and double bedroom with a single step to access , which is full of character, with a low ceiling and stone flagged floor. The first floor offers two further bedrooms and a second bathroom. There are many walks available pretty much from the doorstep, including the Gritstone Trail, a 35-mile walking route that is famous in the North West. As well as walking, there are wonderful cycling opportunities to take advantage of and the surrounding area is spotted with traditional villages, most of which house a good food pub or two. Within half an hours drive are the towns of Congleton and Macclesfield and the attractive market towns of Buxton and Leek, each offering a wonderful day out. This is a beautiful cottage in a superb area, perfect for enjoying the stunning surroundings, all year round.
Wincle is a charming little village set in the Peak District National Park and within easy reach are Macclesfield, Buxton, Congleton and Leek. Wincle is surrounded by beautiful scenery, lying next to the River Dane and offers some stunning walks. The tourist town of Buxton includes a fine selection of amenities along with impressive architecture, just 20 minutes drive away. Wincle is a pretty little village, the perfect place for a rural retreat.

Liked everything! We had a very warm welcome from the owner, and we loved the cottage which had everything we needed. It had fantastic views and a really relaxing atmosphere. Ideally located for visiting Cheshire and Derbyshire so there was no shortage of things to do and places to go. Definitely hope to go back.
The location and the views at Golden Slack Cottage were amazing. The owner, who lives on the farm, was fabulous, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The cottage was excellent - beautifully done up, well maintained, and well equipped with everything we could possibly want. Loved the log burner! It really is a superb cottage and we hope to return.
Golden Stack Cottage was in a great location with fantastic views from the property. The owner on site was informative and friendly. We loved seeing the newborn lambs. There was lots to do in the area and great pubs!
A beautiful barn conversion on a farm with fantastic views down on to the Cheshire Plain. It is very well equipped and warm and cosy whatever the weather. It is a great location for walking in the Peak District with many walks from the front door. It is also close to amenities in Cheshire so there is variety to keep all of the family amused. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend.
It was a lovely relaxing cottage to spend a holiday. There were great views and it was peaceful. The cottage did keep you cosy and warm. The owner was friendly and helpful if you needed her. I would have no hesitation in returning to the cottage for another relaxing holiday.
Everything was wonderful in Golden Slack Cottage. The whole family loved it. Our only regret is not staying longer. The owner is very friendly, kind and helpful. We would love to go back there in the future.
The Cottage was in a very good area to get to see the local attractions. The Cottage was very comfortable and the garden was pleasant to sit in at any time of day. This Cottage had everything we required for our holiday.
