Unvergesslich❣❣❣

If you’re looking for a quiet secluded location this is the cottage for you. Situated in its own gated grounds at the end of a half mile long lane, it is very private. The owner is helpful and friendly and provided a very much appreciated Welcome Basket. My husband and I spent a very relaxing week at the cottage but also used it as a base to explore the surrounding countryside, villages and towns.

If you want peace and quiet this is the place to stay.We had a wonderful months stay in this cottage....our 4th stay!Despite the poor weather we did all we wanted it is such a beautiful area. Then come home to a cosy cottage and light a fire. What more do you want.We will be back next year all being good.

We loved the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful place at the end of a no-through road. From the front door you cannot see any lights at night and it is rare to hear a car during the day. The dawn chorus was loud and much more varied than we are used to in England. There is plenty of outside space for good weather. If the weather is bad, light the wood burner and the cottage is soon warm and cosy. There are nice drives nearby: the Horseshoe Road and Lough Melvin Drive, but it was tempting to just stay in the cottage, enjoy the peace and recharge our batteries. Our hosts were welcoming, efficient and helpful.

The solitude and seclusion was just as described. Perfectly isolated and blissfully quiet.

Willowbrook Cottage was a delight. It was very peaceful and in a great location for what we wanted to do and see. The owner was really great and extremely helpful. We'll be back!

We spent 3 nights in this lovely cottage. Could not fault it. It was warm, clean and very comfortable. The owners went out of their way to make our visit very enjoyable. We hope to be back.

The cottage looked very nice. It was a quiet place near a lake (Lough Melvin) and the interior was cosy and welcoming. The place was well provisioned with maps and tourist information leaflets on all attractions/restaurants/nature. If you like animals you will also appreciate regular visits from local rabbits.

Using a sat nav and the directions provided there was no problem with finding the cottage. Could not praise this cottage and the owner highly enough. Very pretty from the outside and so comfortable and cosy on the inside. The interior of the property has been so well thought out and adds to the calmness to the location. Tranquil throughout the day with the birds chirping and fantastic views of the stars at night. Scenary around the area is beautiful also, with Lough Melvin a short walk away. Close to other sites of interest for a day out. The kitchen is well equipped with more than you could ever need. I can't wait to go back and have already recommended it to family and friends.

You would search far and wide to find such a beautiful quiet cottage or a host as welcoming and throughtful. I stayed here for a week, mostly by myself, writing, but had two friends to stay a couple of nights. The atmosphere is totally peaceful with not a soul passing the door, though there are neighbours further up the lane if you needed help so you wouldn't feel isolated at all. Apart from that there's a robin on the fence outside the front door as soon as you open it and it will hop right up to you if you sit outside for a few minutes. The place is like a tardis with lots of room, much more than you would think from the photographs. I loved the little fire in the kitchen - we hardly used any other heat - the cottage is as warm as toast. The bed was very comfortable and there was an excellent shower. The place is impeccably clean and there are plenty of towels. Lots of cooking utensils and stock cupboard items in the kitchen, as well as a welcome pack and enough to keep the fire going for a few nights, so there's no need to shop before you get here. I found Willowbrook very convenient for surfing in Bundoran and the waves were unbelieveable. Fantastic views walking around by the lake up towards Garrison too. Lovely Leitrim, I'll be back again for sure!

Just returned from two weeks at Willowbrook Cottage. Cottage was lovely and in a beautiful area;everything you needed was in there and it was spotless. Family made us very welcome. One of the best cottages we have stayed in and would certainly stay here again.

It was a bit of a spur of the moment decision on my behalf , but I needed to get away and so I ended up taking a spin from offaly to north letrim which I discovered unlike its description as "the forgotten county " it was more like " A hidden gem " . I was lucky enough to have a week of fine weather which made the many trips and site seeing which covered 5 counties quite enjoyable .The cottage is ideally located with the border down the road into Fermanagh and counties Donegal and Sligo up the road and then county Cavan and its Lake for every day of the year behind you , which you don't need because the selection of lakes , rivers and unreal beaches on your doorstep is more than enough . I found myself lying on the sofa a few nights in the cottage with the fire blazing thinking about how happy I would be if this was my home or if I maybe could create this same thing elsewhere and although I could buy a little cottage and decorate it to be a mirror image I don't think it would ever be the same . The tranquillity of an island getaway with villages and towns a sort spin away in any direction , a beautiful getaway for a couple , next time I will be bringing someone . And where would you get a different accent every day depending on the direction ya took . lol

Only a couple of days have passed since my stay at Willowbrook Cottage and I find myself daydreaming of being back there away from it all surrounded by peace and quite and yet only a short drive to the nearest town not to mention various lakes, beaches and tourist attractions by the bucket load. A stones throw from the border and with 5 counties to choose from for day trips you are spoilt for choice, so much so you have to go back as you cant do it all in one trip - personally I cant wait.

The owner met us and took us to the cottage, which was very well equipped. The cottage was warm enough with the heaters, and there was no need to light a fire. An enjoyable short stay in lovely countryside.

I liked the peace and quiet, the lovely scenery, the house layout, the very warm welcome from the owner, the only thing I did not like about the holiday was having to leave.

Tranquil surroundings, excellent and spotless cottage, should have a higher star rating.

This holiday destination is a new venture for the proprietor Mr. Hill. It is an Irish family run business that has established a very guest orientated experience. We arrived late in Bundoran (cottage in remote countryside approx 6 miles from Bundoran). We were unfamiliar with the directions to the cottage due to it being night time. However,we were greatly assisted by the owner's family who came out to Bundoran at 1130pm to guide us to the cottage (this is very guest orientated!) The cottage is beautiful with a great emphasis on cleanliness. All the necessary utensils were present to cook decent meals from scratch. There was a lovely open fire with two comfy armchairs. Myself and my girlfriend spent long hours 'chewing the cud' and deliberating Metaphysics in front of a warm inviting fire. The cottage is great for couples. I am an avid photographer specialising in Wildlife and Landscapes. The location of the cottage is very conducive to either photography or painting. The wildlife in the area is very varied with lots of species of both plants and animals. It is a 'Twitcher's' paradise. Equally,if you are a star gazer or Astrophotographer, the cottage is an ideal location, as there is little or no light pollution in the area. The star fields over Lough Melvin are amazing. The cottage is also an ideal base to discover the delights of the Donegal coastline. We went to the island of Arran Mor which was only 60 miles from the cottage. I have already recommended the cottage to a work colleague.

This is the best cottage I have ever been in over the years, in terms of presentation, and cleanness. I liked it so much that I painted a picture of it.

Rated by Ms Farrell reviewed on 5th August 2013

This is a beautiful Irish cottage, restored sympathetically and decorated to a high standard. Surrounded by fields, with its own stream running outside, the only sound is birdsong and the patter of rain on the roof. It's fantastic value, well placed for the delights of Eire and Northern Ireland and the owner could not be more welcoming or kind. We'll be back next summer.
