Reviews

We have just returned from a lovely week exploring the attractions that Somerset offers - Wells, Bath, Cheddar etc. We were also very lucky with the weather which helped. We were also impressed with the cottage. It was thoughtfully laid out so that you had plenty of room and it was well stocked with everything you needed. It was clean and ideally suited as a pet-friendly accommodation. The owner - Jenny - made us very welcome and gave us helpful clues as to where to visit and eat out locally. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone who wishes to explore this part of the country.

I have stayed here 6 times, the last time being August this year. The lodge has always been immaculate. It’s has everything you could possible need. It is furnished to a high standard and sits in a quiet cul de sac with its own well tended outside space. There is a good sized well decorated bedroom, well equipped modern kitchen, and the living area is equipped with flat screen TV and DVD player, recliner chairs, and a supply of books and DVDs The owner is on hand and very friendly, willing to do anything to help, she even has the fridge stocked with wine, milk and biscuits when you arrive The lodge is close to Wells, the shopping outlet at Street and many other places of interest but secluded enough to relax in the quiet countryside. I can’t recommend it highly enough and I’m Looking forward to my visit next year

Take the rating i have given & at least double it,it is lovely here spotlessly clean & equiped with everything you could possibly need & more. Jenny, the owner lives nearby & is very helpful & friendly without being obtrusive, she popped in on the evening we arrived to check all was ok & gave us tips on where to eat ,shopping, dog walks etc. As it was our anniversary whilst we were staying she left us a card & bottle of prosecco (so thoughtful) When you stay in the area Wells Cathedral,Glastonbury including a walk up the Tor are a must & if you want a nice meal in a lovely country pub the Queen Victoria 3 miles away in Priddy is fantastic. We had an amazing stay & we will be back in the future

This was our third visit to Glebe Lodge. As ever the whole property was spotlessly clean and very comfy. The host is always lovely and very friendly. The Lodge is situated in a quiet corner off the main road so it is very peaceful but still conveniently placed for travelling around. Cant fault it, it is just perfect.

Glebe Lodge is very well appointed, very clean and well thought out. We felt totally at home stopping there, it was a real home from home. We particularly liked the French windows which opened out on to the small patio area. Glebe Lodge is well positioned, with plenty to see and do within easy travelling distance.

The Glebe is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need and more. Centrally located in a peaceful village setting. The owner is wonderful, very friendly but unobtrusive and obviously cares a lot about her customers. Perfect location for a relaxing break or to explore Somerset.

An excellently equipped property which is spotlessly clean. Being all on one level and with twin beds made it most suitable for my elderly mother and I travelling . Wonderful location within easy distance of Wells where there are a number of supermarkets. The owner , a welcoming and friendly lady, has provided a 'home from home' and is on hand to offer whatever level of assistance or information required. We enjoyed a fabulous week in Westbury, visiting Wells with its impressive cathedral , Glastonbury village and abbey, Bath, Weston-super-Mare and Cheddar. A truly memorable holiday in superb accommodation.

The Lodge is 5 star, warm, comfortable, every consideration provided. Beautifully positioned in the Mendips. Close walks for the dog and yet only minutes away from the beautiful city of Wells with all the culture and Cathedral. It is the second time in 6 months that I have stayed there and I am delighted. Cant wait to stay again! The owner is a wonderfully helpful person!

The thoughtful touches, like tea, milk and coffee all ready for our arrival, plus a bottle of wine in the fridge. The lodge was immaculately clean, well fitted out and equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is dog friendly and there is a little enclosed garden, which is unusual to find. Our host provided an O/S map, so we were able to find plenty of nice walks. Everything was cosy, warm and comfortable and lovely and quiet.

This was the perfect bolt hole in short notice. The cottage was gorgeous and secluded, tucked away yet right in the middle of a gorgeous village. I particularly enjoyed the welcome and close proximity of the owners house to the property. As a female holidaying alone it made me feel very looked after.
