This is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in! Everything you could wish for in beautiful quiet surroundings. The views are incredible. The house has absolutely everything you could want. The hot tub is wonderful. The host couldn't be nicer. Would recommend to anyone who needs to get away from life's stresses... You have to drive at least 45 mins to get to the coast..but it's all in gorgeous surroundings.

Just home from a break in South Wales. This property is very clean and modern. I don’t think cottage is the correct description? The property is very well appointed and the owner who lives in the back of the property was helpful but discreet. There is an internal locked door which divides the property. The outside space is lovely with views from the garden at the back of the house and hot tub looking out onto fields with sheep and cows. We had a comfortable stay, and found the fridge/freezer helpful in the utility room as we had brought a lot of food. The bedding and linen is all provided and of a very good quality.

We as a family have just got back from a wonderful, relaxing break. Very friendly welcome from Linda and a lovely touch of fresh eggs and cakes on arrival, very clean and all the holiday essentials you need, home from home really...not very often you can celebrate the hubbys birthday in a hot tub, with bubbles and watching the sun go down, even the dog felt welcome with his doggy treats. Plenty of little towns to visit and boat trips, we even got chance to see dolphins and seals in their habit, the kids loved it...Will definitely be recommending this holiday let to family and friends, hopefully will visit again in the future, thanks again

We have just had a fantastic Christmas here. You can't fault the owners and Linda is just so friendly and lovely. The 'Old School House' is just amazing made that extra special all decorated for Christmas. The owners have thought of everything. We brought stuff that we just haven't even unpacked as it's all supplied. The hot tub and views are just beautiful. We can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you Linda for letting use this stunning place. We will be back x

We arrived on Saturday 20th jan and was met by Linda the owner who showed us around and had fresh eggs and brownies left for us. The cottage was very comfy, clean and very well equipped. The hot tub was amazing with great views down the valley which we chilled out in after out walking the dog each afternoon.

The old school is a lovely place to holiday and relax. On arrival the owners had left fresh flowers, fresh eggs and a homemade bara brith. The conversion has been done to a very good standard and is made even better with the addition of a hot tub overlooking the surrounding countryside. There are some great places to explore nearby including Lampeter, New Quay and Aberaeron. Very nice

We are halfway through our week long stay here with our 2 small dogs. I think by the time we go home the breathtaking views from the garden and hot tub might start to seem real, they are just too perfect and what us londoners only dream about. The house is amazing, everything you need and all good quality utensils, lots of space, games and dvds, sky TV too. Lynda and Tony the owners are friendly and helpful without being in your face but there if you need something. She had made us a bara brith which was delicious! and there were some free range eggs. The hot tub makes this place even more special, it's set at the perfect temperature and the massage jets are just right. The whole area has breath taking views and friendly people. If you stay here you must go to the y Talbot in Tregaron, the burger with cheese and bacon all local produce is amazing in fact all local produce is way more tasty than anything I've tasted lately in london.

We wanted a base where we could tour mid and South Wales from but afforded us some rest and relaxation This cottage provides everything you could wish for in a cottage in the country. We had a really fantastic week. It's so refreshing to find a clean well appointed and equipped cottage with good quality accessories. There was plenty of towels! Bathroom , hot tub and beach towels as well as dressing gown each. The description was very accurate. The back is a real sun trap and views from the hot tub/patio table of open fields with red kites flying above were superb. It was so peaceful. Just what we wanted. A little piece of heaven. The owners were very helpful but unobtrusive. The welcome parcel was really appreciated with home made Welsh tea bread . I loved being in this little bubble and definitely wasn't ready to return to normal life which is quite unusual for me!!

This is such a beautiful little get away. It's so peaceful and absolutely ideal for a quiet couple of days and you can even bring your dogs. Myself and my husband have been more than once over the May Bank Holiday weekends for a quiet few days. The owners are lovely as is the lovely fruit loaf that awaits you on arrival. It's very clean and modern inside with absolutely everything you would need to cook in the kitchen. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for having us :)

The Old School is a beautiful place to visit inside and out with the old building being retained but brilliantly modernised. Clean and with everything you could want in the kitchen and lounge well stocked with games and DVDs and we were welcomed with home made bara brith as well as some staples (milk, eggs) in the fridge. We saw red kites soaring outside and were in touching distance of lots of areas of natural beauty (Brecons, Pembroke Coast, Brechfa forest etc.). We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to come back to with the dog after a long day walking. Wonderful hosts always willing to help too. Highly recommended.

Rated by Mr Crawte reviewed on 24th August 2014

This cottage is an absolute gem. The owner was the perfect hostess, she is kind and considerate, and keen for the guests to have a great time. She provided a fabulous Bara Brith loaf on arrival, which wasn't beaten for taste anywhere in Wales. The cottage was spotlessly clean and excellently appointed. Every comfort had been thought of, and we felt that we were staying in 5-star accommodation, but at a 4-star price. Of the eleven cottages that we stayed in during our UK holiday, this was easily the best.

The owners have gone the extra mile with attention to detail everywhere you looked. Views over the hills were stunning from the decked area. A lovely week.

This is a beautiful place to stay in a fantastic location. It was immaculately clean, with a great open plan living area that seemed bigger than it appeared on the website. The owner made us feel both welcome and at home and it was child and dog friendly. There were lots of little extra touches that made it exceptional, not just the basic provisions but also shower gels, bubble bath for the children, luxurious blanket for the dog, and delicious smelling bed linen.
