Reviews

We had a perfect autumn stay in this very secluded and quiet cottage We had a great mixture of chilling at the cottage - lots of hot-tubbing, walking along the tracks straight from the front door - had a perfect misty autumn sunrise, lovely rainbow in the valley and enjoyed a circular walk over the bridge, up to the road, along the road to the entrance of the lane leading to the cottage and then enjoyed the walk (rather than drive) along the lane - it is a very long but beautiful single track lane Also ventured further afield, Lakes distillery, Ravenglass steam train trip, motor boats on Coniston, fish and chips on harbour at Whitehaven. Enjoyed local food, simply the best pies ever at Yewdale Inn, Coniston and delicious seafood meal at Hooked, Windermere We had the log burner on but a shame it was so mild for end October - never got to wear our jumpers!

Amazing. Perfect holiday home in amazing location. This is a beautiful barn conversion on a small farm within a stunning, secluded valley. We loved every minute and didn't want to leave.

A perfect cottage in the heart of the Lake District. Everything you could possibly want under one roof. The owners had thought of everything. A lovely hot tub with a view for relaxing in after a long day walking/cycling. Would highly recommend for anyone wishing to escape to the Lake District. We will be returning!

Had a great time here - the cottage was comfortable and homely. It was very secluded - 2 miles up a single track road. The views were amazing and we went for some lovely walks. We were lucky with the weather - it was warm and sunny. The hot tub was a bonus - just what you need after a day walking. A big plus for us was that there was no service available on the mobiles - peace and quiet at last! Would def go again :)

The cottage was lovely and can not complain about anything! The owners were there if needed but just left us to our own devices after they introduced themselves, which was good. The location was beautiful although was a long walk to the main road and the local, ideal for anyone wanting peace and quiet. No complaints at all!

Had a fantastic stay, lovely facilities and the setting of Copper Beech Cottage was just ideal (especially for taking our dog who loved the open surroundings). Highest standard of cottage we've stayed and we will certainly recommend to family and friends. Overall a 5 star stay!

Fantastic location and views, both bedrooms of equal quality, hot-tub perfectly placed and hot! The decor was tasteful and not stuffed with a load of second-hand tat. The owners were welcoming and obliging.

The layout of the cottage was fantastic. The hot tub had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and the night sky. It was cosy, warm and the wood burner was a bonus.

Rated by Mrs Mccann reviewed on 14th November 2015

The views from the property and especially the hot tub were absolutely stunning! There were 360 degree views from all around the property. The upside down layout is excellent, especially with the triple aspect views. The cottage is fully equipped with everything a holiday maker could require, and the furnishings and equipment are to a high standard. A very enjoyable, comfortable holiday.

Absolutely amazing doesn't even come close to describing this property. The location is absolutely stunning and the property is so lovely you'll want to move in! Lazy evenings overlooking the beautiful Cumbrian countryside are the kind of memories that you want to bottle and keep.

"We really enjoyed staying at this property. The location was perfect, right in the countryside and out of the way of the town. You could walk straight out from the front door. The hot tub was great and fantastic after a long walk, whatever the weather. I would like to keep the cottage a secret just for us."

Fabulous location and a very high spec cottage.

Rated by Mr Gaskin reviewed on 24th January 2015

The cottage is very quiet and surrounded by hills with easy access to hundreds of walks at all levels. The hot tub is in a fabulous location overlooking the hills. Our dogs were made very welcome. We walked, mountain biked in the Grizedale Forest, and visited Ambleside town, only 30 mins drive. Wonderful cafés and gear shops. More mountain biking and walks alongside lakes a few minutes from the town. The owners are very lovely people, and were, friendly, helpful and kind. We shall be back without a doubt.

A fabulous week over Christmas spent at Copper Beech Cottage. The Cottage was festively decorated for our arrival. It was an extra special treat to be able to give the newly installed hot tub a try under the stars on Christmas night to soak away the aches and pains after tackling nearby Coniston Old Man. The Cottage really was everything we had hoped for.

A really well equipped holiday cottage. Beautifully furnished in a lovely setting. Had a great week and the kids and dog absolutely loved the walks right on our doorstep. We can't recommend highly enough.

Rated by Mrs Bruce reviewed on 9th August 2014

Copper beech cottage is exactly as described, the cottage is down the end of a track that is only used by the farm behind. The views from the upstairs living area are lovely looking over the farm land. It is well situated for travelling around the lakes and there is a lovely pub in torver if you don't fancy cooking. The kitchen is well equipped and everything was lovely and clean. We have and will recommend to our friends.

We were very impressed with everything about Copper Beech Cottage. It was a total getaway, being down the end of a lane that is only used by residents. The views are lovely and we spent many an hour watching the playful lambs in the nearby fields. The bird life was fantastic too. Our hosts were very friendly and we would definitely go back to Copper Beech Cottage in the future as well as recommend it to friends.

Rated by Mrs Harvey reviewed on 6th May 2014

Absolutely fantastic cottage - just as good as it looked in the photos! To be able to walk the dog from your doorstep was superb and the wonderful views were stunning (even in the rain!). The outlay of the cottage meant that the views were stupendous from kitchen & lounge.
