Reviews

The accommodation was exactly what we needed, it was really spacious and comfortable. The log burner made it cosy and warm as the weather was chilly. The location was good for us and within easy reach of the places we wanted to visit. Would definitely book again if travelling to North Wales.

We loved Glan Nug's welcoming 'feel' and spaciousness; large bedrooms, en-suites, main bathroom. The huge log burner in the main lounge was superb. Everyone loved the snug with its comfortable seating. Other plus points were the well-stocked kitchen with underfloor heating, the provision of TVs and other entertainment systems in lounge and snug, constant hot water, the thoughtfulness of the owners in providing Christmas decorations plus selection boxes for the children. Outside: the stream running by, a huge log store, great parking space for the cars. And, of course, the spectacular beauty of North Wales, even when the rain was pouring down. The waterfalls were thunderous and the mountains just gorgeous.

We enjoyed being in the cottage, the wood burner and general warmth of the cottage was great, very comfortable and had a nice feel. It was well positioned for getting to Snowdon and surrounding tourist attractions. The owner was lovely, everything was very organised and good instructions.

I came here with a group of 8 adults, 2 kids and a dog. There are three floors - on the bottom is a well laid out kitchen, large dining table and small sitting area - this was ideal for us as people made food and still all relaxed together. Next to this was the main sitting area - nice furniture, and good for our group. Comfortably really it fit 6/7 on the sofa but this was fine for us. On the first floor are three bedrooms and the main bathroom. Two doubles with en-suite shower rooms, the third is a double. On the second is two good sized twin rooms - one has beds that can be put together to make a double, the other room is definitely a twin - the beds are opposite each other - but still good for groups. The garden has a nice little patio type area, which overlooks a stream/brook - this was lovely on an evening. There is loads of parking, we had 5 cars and they fit easily. Nearby is a pub that serves food - a really short walk you can see it from the property (I've already reviewied this - was a lovely pub). Overall I would highly recommend this and would be happy to go back. The location is quite secluded but in easy travelling distance of loads of places to visit in Wales. The only small criticism would be that the freezer is quite small, but it was fine for us - we didn't use it that much, however if we'd stayed longer we would probably have wanted to use it for food rather than eating out so much - but it is a tiny thing in what was an amazing property and a great break.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glan Nug and can't fault the cottage. It was as described and perfect for our needs. We met the owner who was really friendly and helpful, he gave the impression that nothing would have been too much trouble to ensure we had a great stay and we would like to thank all involved for making this a trouble free and enjoyable stay.

The spacious open plan kitchen/diner and main sitting room with it's large log burner made for a very inviting and sociable space to relax in. The owners have thought of everything we could possibly need with all mod cons in the kitchen, an ample wood pile to allow us to enjoy the log burner and even storage for our mountain bikes was available. The bedrooms were spacious & very well presented and the whole house was clean and very well maintained. Normally we're out and about making the most of the area but this cottage was a pleasure to come back to and when we visit Wales in future we would definitely look to book it again.

Great location - on a main road but outside a busy area, exactly what we were looking for. Amazing scenery, space for a large party to eat together every night, and a second living room for chilling out.

Great home for meeting up with friends. Sociable areas and the separate snug to chat on an evening. Ideal base for travelling around the Snowdon area.
