The cottage was very well-equipped and in a great location. The owner provided lots of information about things to do and places to eat. It was a joy to return to the cottage at the end of the day to enjoy the wood burner.

We liked the location, the view from the lounge window and the wood burning stove.

The weather was really very bad indeed, so it was a good excuse to relax, do the crossword, watch box sets etc. in front of a lovely wood burning stove, enjoying the paintings. Being right beside the canal was great, and we did manage one very windy walk along its banks. Lunch at the Crinan Hotel was a great treat and view from the Gallery Bar was outstanding.

The Cottage was in a very quiet location but not isolated, there were plenty of places to visit within the area. The scenery was breathtaking and there were some very nice places to eat nearby. A wonderful break away from it all.

The location was excellent and the cottage had everything we needed. There were lots of things to do and see including; walking, cycling and fishing. There was also a pub a ten minute walk away. The owner provided comprehensive information, with contact details in case anything went amiss. All in all, it couldn't have been better. Highly recommended.

The holiday was absolutely fantastic, with lots to see and do in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. The cottage itself is in the most idyllic of settings and even the lesser active out there would love this place with its easy access and low level walks on the banks of the Crinan canal.

This is a very pretty and comfortable cottage in a great location right on the Crinan Canal. The area is extremely interesting and there are many places to visit that show Scotland's ancient history. Kilmartin was very good in particular and only down the road. We would definitely recommend a stay here and we hope to come back soon.

We really enjoyed this cottage, lovely condition and lovely area. Will recommend to friends and family. Great for cycling!

Rated by Mr Mccallum reviewed on 3rd January 2014

Scottish scenery is changeable from region to region. This part tends to be more green and lush. Different types of walks which suits the less adventurous walker and of course the area is steeped in history and archaeology. Cottage owner was informative and helpful and as she lived locally could be contacted easily if required.
