The rest of the cottage is made up of a spacious kitchen with dining area, a separate sitting room with woodburning stove and a snug. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed lawned garden with patio and pond. With walking from the doorstep and within easy reach of many attractions, Church Farmhouse is ideal for families or groups of friends wishing to explore this fabulous Somerset area.

A charming and characterful attached former farmhouse, quietly situated in the heart of the attractive south Somerset village of Winsham on the borders of Dorset and Devon. The cottage is a wing of the owner's barn conversion, believed to date back to 1750, and has been lovingly renovated to create a most comfortable holiday home. Inside the spacious sitting room, you'll be impressed by the original beams and gorgeous inglenook fireplace, a sumptuous place to relax and toast your toes in front of the cosy woodburning stove. The pretty farmhouse kitchen, with its warming AGA, will inspire you to conjure up some tasty treats for your group. Upstairs there are four double bedrooms to choose from, the master bedroom benefiting from en-suite facilities, whilst the other bedrooms share the use of a really lovely bathroom complete with a roll-top bath as well as a shower. There is a further shower on the ground floor ensuring none of your party will have to wait long to use the washing facilities! For those who wish to relax away from the rest, there's a cosy snug complete with TV and a good selection of books. Outside, on warmer days, make use of the small private garden with a patio, lawned area and a pretty fenced pond. The local Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides many great walking opportunities, whilst for garden lovers there are a wealth of gems including Forde Abbey and East Lambrook. Further afield enjoy the attractions of the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, or how about a day trip to the beautiful cities of Bath or Wells? The stunning Jurassic Coast with the resorts of West Bay and Lyme Regis, are also easily accessible. We have just returned from a wonderful few days away at this cottage. We had such a warm welcome from the owners with a homemade apple cake and eggs from their chickens. The cottage is huge with plenty of space for 8 people. The fire is amazing and the owners provide plenty of wood. You have everything you need for a lovely break. Highly recommend booking this beautiful cottage.
We have recently stayed in Church Farmhouse and we had a wonderful stay. They welcomed all 9 of us. We also had our 4 month old puppy and were grateful for the treats left for him on arrival along with our chocolate muffins which were enjoyed by all. Rooms were comfortable and welcoming, we enjoyed cooking on the aga (first time for all ) Highly recommended and we will return Thank you.
This is a gorgeous cottage. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It is in a great location and perfect for our getaway.

The cottage had everything you would need for a stay. It was clean, comfortable and of a very high standard. The owners were always approachable and available for advice. They gave us excellent information about places to visit, walks and places to eat.
We all had a fantastic time at Church Farmhouse and can't praise the house, the area or the owners enough. The village is a really friendly place to spend time in and there is lots to see and do within a very short car journey. Between our group we have visited many self catering cottages and houses and we have to say that this is one of our favourites.
