The property was just amazing, there was something for everyone to do without needing to go anywhere. It is very well maintained and just had everything we needed for an awesome family holiday. 100% would come back here.

After a day exploring coming back to relax in hot tub a massive bonus! The sauna, hot tub, pool table + table tennis kept everyone happy. Time went all to quick. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Would love to revisit and have no hesitation in recommending this gem of a property.

We have had a fanatastic week at Lower lodge! I would definitely give it 5 stars. The facilities are top class. The rooms were immaculate. The kingsize bed is so comfy I slept like I was at home. ( This rarely happens on holiday.) There was great attention to detail e.g. ice cubes supplied in the freezer. The owners Mark and Lisa were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the Jacuzzi and ensuite bathrooms were a boon. Well done!

Lower Lodge is a big house with good size garden and is not overlooked. Very peaceful. The hot tub is HUGE and having the pool and table tennis games area was great. Overall this is a place we would recommend to anyone for a truly relaxing holiday. We loved it and definitely be planning a return visit.

Fantastic house with great facilities, especially the huge hot tub! Good location to see all that Shropshire and North Wales has to offer. We will definitely be back!

Wow! We have just got back from a week at Lower Lodge and it was brilliant. The house was amazing and had everything we needed for a great holiday. We ranged from 7 to 81 and there was something to keep everyone happy. The children enjoyed the games room and TV/DVD in the bedrooms whilst the adults enjoyed the lounge, hot tub and sauna. The kitchen was really well equipped and we enjoyed cooking and eating in the kitchen/dining area. It was a bonus to have plenty of bathrooms and toilets for everyone too. The garden was lovely but unfortunately due to the time of year and weather we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked but there was certainly everything we needed had the weather been kind. The owners, Mark and Lisa, were really friendly, helpful and always available if we needed them. The surrounding area was beautiful and we enjoyed day trips to the RAF Museum at Cosford (free entrance), Shrewsbury, Powis Castle which was stunning, Lake Vrywny and Pistell Falls which were also well worth a visit. We visited the local pub where we had a lovely meal and they even do a complimentary mini bus service to the house so worth a visit too. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxury place to have a relaxing holiday in a nice area of the country. We would love to visit again.

Our first stay at Lower Lodge was for two weeks in March 2015 for our Silver Wedding. We were joined by family and close friends for a few days over these weeks and had an amazing time. The accommodation was everything we expected and more. The Location was spot on for a relaxing break and the surrounding countryside was amazing. We were so happy with this accommodation that we booked another week in December. We are going for the third time, staying for another two weeks in March 2016.

We had a fantastic weekend, we were entertained and totally relaxed in this excellent cottage.

Rated by Mr Chylinski reviewed on 27th August 2015

A spectacular property, couldn't recommend it highly enough. It had everything we needed and even things we didn't realise we needed, for example, the hot tub - what a blessing! It was to a high standard throughout. The owners are a delight and care deeply about their property and quite rightly so, it has quality furnishings, fixtures and fittings, including nice little touches you wouldn't expect to find in a holiday rental. Highly recommend this property, can't fault it in any way.

One word AMAZING! We have been doing a weekend away in November for the last 3 years this one by far has to be the best! Wonderful spacious accomodation, fabulous sauna and a large hot tub which accomodates all guests! The games room was fab and the outdoor games, having music that plays out in every room including outside, it truly is a perfect entertainment holiday home! We would definately recommend this place and will return one day in the future! Lemon drizzle cake on arrival was a lovely touch!

We liked everything about the house. Lots to do around the house for the children and adults inside and out and the owner was a very nice man. Lots to do around the area, good places to eat with the pub called The Hand and Diamond and The Smoke House which are just 1 mile away Looking forward to next year , can not wait

Rated by Mr Worker reviewed on 9th November 2014

The property exceeded what we had imagined it to be from the brochure, from the moment we walked in we knew we had found a special property. The owner came to see us the next morning and he was very welcoming explaining how everything worked and generally trying to make sure we had a wonderful holiday. We were joined by family during our stay and the hot tub at night was the most relaxing place to talk and relax. An amazing property that far exceeded anywhere else we have stayed.

Rated by Mr Marsh reviewed on 31st August 2014

Lower lodge was spacious and very comfortable. The outside space really made the property with it's facilities and plenty of outside seating areas, we feel we made the most of what it had to offer. Apart from enjoying the house there were lots of activities and places to visit and it was great after a day out coming back to the hot tub in the evening.

Rated by Mrs Rees reviewed on 28th August 2014

Lower Lodge was a fantastic accommodation. On arrival everything was as expected and our stay was relaxing. It was a pleasure meeting the owner who went out of his way to assure we had a trouble free break. We would love to stay here again and would have no problem recommending to friends and family.

We enjoyed a wonderful time at Lower Lodge; there were four adults and four teenagers, all of whom thoroughly indulged in the hot tub and sauna. The games facilities were similarly appreciated. A very well-equipped and well-maintained house, which is in a perfect location for day trips into Wales, as well as to Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Ironbridge. A definite five star recommendation.

Rated by A FlipKey verified reviewer reviewed on 6th August 2014

We had a very comfortable stay and loved the facilities on offer. Our '30 something' children had a great time playing pool, tables tennis and using the X Box. The property is in a great location to visit towns, NT properties, and many other local attractions, all within half an hour driving distance. Our only regret was we hadn't booked a second week!

Rated by CarolynBedford reviewed on 5th August 2014

This is a fabulous, spacious and very secure property. The hot tub, sauna, and games area was excellent. The grandchildren loved running around the very large and safe garden. There is a great choice of televisions, game consoles and a very good sound system throughout the property. We loved it so much we have booked to go back next year.

Rated by Mrs Hibbert reviewed on 30th June 2014

Highly recommend this holiday bungalow. Met all of our needs as most rooms end suite.made use of huge hot tub, games area a BBQ area. They don't supply a BBQ which is a shame but we bought a cheap one as we had excellent weather. We had breakfast on the terrace facing the fields and tea/ dinner in the hot tub area. The tv,s were useful if we wanted to watch something different. There is a big smart tv in the lounge and games room which we used when we had an impromptu karaoke. Some of the part have mobility problems but that was fine as everything was on the flat. We did not have children but the garden is lovely for them to play in. All outside furniture very comfortable. We seemed to have to travel miles before we got anywhere maybe we should have prepared our visits in advance. But if you want a chilled out holiday in an exceptionally nice place you can't go wrong. Manager and his wife were great and they had left a home made cake which was delicious. We had a really good stay

The best holiday accommodation we have stayed in. The cottage is very well equipped and set in a fantastic location with open fields overlooking countryside. It's south facing aspect makes it a great location for catching the sun all day. Would recommend for a great place for families of all ages.

The holiday home is lovely, made excellent use of the hot tub and fire pit. The sauna is an added bonus. Hosts were very friendly, it was all round an ideal place for a break for all ages and abilities/disabilities. A lot of thought and care been given to the place, it was very private with outstanding views. The pool table and tennis table were really good too.

An amazing house for two families to stay in with teenage children; very spacious, but with the additional bonuses of games rooms, hot tub and sauna.

This high tech property had everything we could have wished for, there was something for everyone in our party to do, or to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Games room for the young adults, pool table, table tennis, music system, hot tub and sauna. We had an absolutely fabulous time away - can't wait to book again!

What a place, this property had everything you would want for a short break and more; the property and fittings all in A1 condition and the hot tub and sauna where fantastic. We stayed with friends and we have been to several others cottages, but nothing tops this, we will be back. We met the owners who were delightful and very helpful, already talking about when we can go back to Lower Lodge.

We met the owners Mark & Lisa who where delightful and very helpful and the good housekeeping bond of £150 refunded when we left, I could write a lot more, but 100% agree with the other reviews, already talking about when we can go back to Lower Lodge.

I have just returned from a long weekend at this truly impressive accommodation. We were a mixed family group of ladies ranging from 17 to 72 and all enjoyed the weekend immensely. The fixtures and fittings were of the highest standard as well as the decor, and the views are breathtaking. Lovely sociable kitchen diner and the sofa in the main lounge was huge and comfortable, perfect for watching movies on the large SMART television. The beds were all very comfortable with quality bedding and the robes for the SPA area are a lovely addition. This area itself is very well thought out with the sauna, toilet , shower and huge hot tub all together at the end of the property. It was great to have a hot tub big enough for all 8 of us. The piped music through out the house including an outside speaker were great fun. Another large SMART television and TV/DVD in all the rooms is also a bonus. The owners were most helpful and the whole booking process was efficient and trouble free including the returnable "good housekeeping bond" which at £150 is very reasonable for such a luxury property. The home made cake as a welcome was also a nice touch. We have stayed in accommodation all around the country and this genuinely is one of the best I have visited. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed at the house over the new year and we were not disappointed! The house was beautiful and had luxurious details such as the in house sound system/wet rooms etc. The hot tub is definitely the star of the property and really made the trip. The owners were so lovely and even gave us lifts to the local pub that they'd recommended! There's also a free mini bus service to and from the local pub which was fantastic! Really can't recommend this holiday home enough, we will definitely be returning!!

What a fantastic place! So relaxing and everything you could possibly need catered for. Fantastic hot tub, with coloured lighting and music system connecting to all areas of the house! Beautiful views surrounding the lodge and great entertainment to keep everyone happy (x-box kinect, board games, dvds, hot tub, sauna)! Really helpful hosts, nothing too much trouble. We were staying for a 40th birthday celebration - it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience - thank you!

We stayed at Lower Lodge in the October half term this year and had a really lovely relaxing break. We were two families with four kids ranging from age 8 - 16. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house in a lovely private location. Lovely views across the countryside added to the relaxing atmosphere which has been created here. The house is very comfortably furnished and is very spacious inside and out. The hot tub is very large and we all spent a good deal of time relaxing in it in the evening, stargazing. The sauna is another luxury extra which provided even more relaxation and with the lovely robes provided, it felt like being in a private spa! As it was a bit chilly we were not able to take full advantage of the fire pit, barbecue and outdoor games, but this area was again nicely set out with comfortable seating and would provide a lovely setting for relaxing on a summer evening. The xbox360 in the playroom kept children (and adults) entertained and with a tv and dvd in all the bedrooms as well as the lounge, and the other games provided, it meant there was always something to do. The docking station enabled all of us to play our music and speakers are situated all throughout the home for you to choose where you want to play the music (even in the bathrooms!) The owners looked after us very well and even brought us torches in case of a power failure during a storm. They provided homemade cakes on arrival and did all they could to make sure our stay was pleasurable. We enjoyed our holiday here so much we have booked to go back next year and would thoroughly recommend this holiday home. A lovely house, in a beautiful private setting, with great amenities, at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit.
