Reviews

Just returned from our stay at 2 Tayness. We loved the seclusion it gave us and going up and down the track each day and seeing the wildlife around. We walked from the cottage to Kilmartin and the stone circles one day and saw a roe deer in the field off the track. My daughter also caught site of a pine marten on her camera trap she put out. A lovely and comfortable cottage, the pink snug was lovely in an evening, though one evening it was too hot inside and we just sat outside having a glass of wine and watching the bats circling round :-). The cottage was very clean and the water was fine to wash in and drink but we were left bottled drinking water and other treats too, thanks for those :-)

If it's rural and rustic that you want then look further than this charming little cottage. Perfectly equipped and extremely functional for an idyllic stay in this part of the world. Hubby and I spent the most chilled of Christmas week's in this perfect little haven. The owners Jennifer and Iain were more than accommading, leaving us some well received supplies and even a wrapped gift under the Christmas tree. The open fire and range in the living kitchen area was just sublime...perfect for drying out walking boots, gaiters and the like, and even the perfect spot for warming your bottle of red!! The Scottish weather was kind to us for the week, which afforded us some great walking days and some pretty stupendous views to boot! We were welcomed warmly on numerous occasions by the lovely staff of the local pub in Kilmartin, which offered a great selection of beers and hearty food to round off a perfect day. The area is steeped in ancient ruins too, for those who enjoy some real history! A return visit is most definitely on our list...thank you enormously Jennifer & Iain.

A cute cottage in a very quiet spot. We had a relaxing holiday and loved the extras provided such as a drop of whiskey! We were happy with our choice of place to stay.

I stayed here with my family (wife to be and two children) as a Christmas get away. Being from London we wanted a traditional Christmas away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This cottage and it’s surroundings have made this one of our most memorable Christmas’s ever. The cottage is set in a lovely secluded setting, the views are breath taking. The cottage itself is amazing, the owners have really taken care of it and have literally catered for ever little detail. They even left us a little Christmas present under the 2 trees which they put out for us and decorated. There is an open fire in the kitchen area which has been great in creating the Christmas atmosphere. We ventured out after our dinner and found some local attractions such as a castle and some lovely historic churches. This really is a lovely place to stay. We have enjoyed every minute of it.

This cottage is in a secluded rural location on the side of a small hill right next to a beautiful waterfall! It has a wonderful, farm-style kitchen with an open log fire and a dining table for family meals. It comes with all the amenities you would expect; it truly was a holiday when the dishwasher does the hard work for me! The living room is small but comfortable and inviting. Bedrooms are a good size and the beds are so comfortable. The atmosphere the property creates makes your holiday! it is truly wonderful and the owners so welcoming
