Characterful and well appointed cottage - home from home in a delightful, friendly village. Thoughtful extras and secluded garden with Summer House. Ideal for Minsmere and Dunwich nature reserves and near to Sutton Hoo. Well worth a return trip - we stayed for two weeks and were fully occupied.

A wonderful holiday, the cottage was lovely and the hosts were so kind. Loads of little touches made the holiday go smoothly. The decor was fab, the garden and summer house wee a treat and my six year old loved sleeping in the attic bedroom. Cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely return. Thank you!

An excellent cottage with considerate and thoughtful touches. There were many interesting pictures, books and items in the property with useful maps and local information. There was a friendly next door neighbour and a beautiful small garden. A delight! A very enjoyable week.

The cottage was very well equipped and pretty much everything that we needed was supplied. We particularly enjoyed the garden which was so much nicer than the photo on your website led us to believe.

The cottage was warm & cosy and set in a quiet location from which it was easy to get out into the countryside.

Two of us stayed although the cottage can accommodate four. The layout is a little unusual, two single beds on the top floor, middle floor has a double bed and a large landing and the ground floor is a through room with cooking to the rear. There is a long garden with a shed and seating at the end. House and garden are both very private and quiet. Although the building itself is lovely and old it has recently been renovated to a high standard. We normally stay in National Trust cottages and this better equipped. Saxmundham has the nearest shops (about a mile and a half) and the cottage is well placed for many Suffolk attractions (Southwold, Aldeburgh etc). Best places for food we found are The Crown in Framlingham and Coasters in Southwold. We'll go again.

"Peggotty's" is ideally located for exploring the Suffolk coast and is in a quiet location. It was well equipped and about the right size for my wife and I.

Well equipped house, which the owner had given time and consideration to when furnishing it for visitors. Loved the welcome pack, a nice thoughtful gesture - which set us off on the right foot! Although the location was quiet - no shops etc - it suited us, as it was off the beaten track and away from hoards of other tourists - yet within easy reach of Saxmunden and with a good park for the children very close to the cottage.

Rated by Mr Newell reviewed on 10th August 2014

Location of the property gave access to coast and inland. Local pub with excellent food. Easy storage for bicycles and plenty of parking for cars. Very nice house to relax in at end of a day. We found the books and maps a great help when deciding where to go. It was a very enjoyable , relaxing break in a lovely comfortable house.
