We fully agree with other reviews regarding the location and cleanliness of the property, it was spot on! The owners clearly take great pride in their property and many little extras are provided. In that sense it was a real home from home. If you wish to use the twin beds however, it would be advisable to stipulate this on booking. The website pictures give the impression that both beds are made up, but we ended up using 2 rooms. Another reviewer has mentioned internal noise and our first night was horrendous. We were woken at 2am by doors banging, loud voices and even louder music. This lasted until 3.30am. The music then stopped but the occupants continued to shout and bang doors loudly until 5am. It appears the occupants were then away for the remainder of the week as all was quiet. We fully understand that the owners have no responsibility for this, but feel we should mention it for other visitors to the apartment.

We had a wonderful two week stay in the apartment. It is beautifully located between the river Skell and Ripon Canal and it is only a five to eight minute walk into town. The flat is ideal for families as there are loads of things to do like feeding the ducks (duck food is sold by Richard if you stand in front of the entrance door and turn slightly right) and playing at (and in) the river. Directly in front of the house is a perfect little farm shop called "The Forge" where you can buy yummy sandwiches, cakes, milk, eggs, etc. You should see Ripon Cathdral. It is very impressive. The flat itself is very cosy and offers wonderful views. You can hear the bells from Ripon Cathedral which is beautiful. We stayed for two weeks and even got the linen and towels changed after the first week plus we had vine, cookies and other goodies waiting for us when we arrived.

We agree with other reviews about how comfortable and well equipped the apartment is, also very light and bright even in November. It is obvious that the owners, and cleaner, take great care of it and it shows. The bedrooms are surprisingly spacious and the lounge is big enough for a dining table. The foregoing are the positives but to be fair to people who use reviews to help decide on a property the following is also what we experienced. Bearing in mind that the apartment is in a small block with three others nevertheless we did not expect the level of sound intrusion from especially the apartment below. This family were going about their lives but it isn't something we wanted to be able to so easily hear when on a holiday. Having said that there was never any noise during the night and our sleep was never disturbed. The other issue that we weren't expecting was the level of traffic noise into the bedrooms. The road that runs alongside the apatments is busy morning and late afternoon, in the morning the traffic starts at around 7am and did wake us. The double glazing, for some reason, did not take out much of the noise at all.

Long way up the stairs, well worth the effort. Everything is right, the right kitchen equipment, the right amount of storage In the bedrooms, the TV and DVD are right. No balcony, but open the door and you could be anywhere in the Med,the sun streams in the evening, with the advantage of Theakstones beer brewed just down the road. This apartment is a real gem, clean, fresh, modern, within walking distance of the everything in Ripon . Ripon is lovely, the cathedral, the spa gardens, the market place, everything, even Sainsburys fits in the big picture Book this apartment before others fill it

The apartment was ideally situated for what we wanted to do and the owners definitely have gone the extra mile in making it THE place to stay. Everything needed was provided and all of a very good quality. There were very nice touches and we'll definitely recommend this apartment to anybody heading that way.

14B Canal Wharfe is a really nice flat in an excellent location - Only a couple of minutes walk to the town centre and also a good starting point for walks along the river, the canal and around Ripon. Plenty nearby pubs and restaurants for a good selection of eating and drinking.

The flat was bright, spacious, comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean. There was everything we could have possibly asked for. We really appreciated the thought that had been put into making visitors welcome.

The location of the flat was excellent, near to the town centre, cathedral and the river and canal. The flat was in superb condition, modern, clean and very well furnished. On the 2nd floor so could be a problem for less able.

This property was absolutely faultless - clean, efficient, well-provided, comfortable, car-parking on site, farm shop next door - and very convenient for town access and for touring. We would happily return. Very courteous and helpful owners.

I stayed in this delightful apartment for a few days restorative time away from a hectic life and it's absolutely perfect. Impeccably clean and well thought out; comfortable, practical and with everything you could ever possibly need and more. The location is fantastic, overlooking the canal basin from the sitting room balcony and the cathedral from the bedrooms. Five ticks on here for me.

Don't be misled by Sykes' three tick rating. I stayed in this delightful apartment for a few days restorative time away from a hectic life and it's absolutely perfect. Impeccably clean; well thought out; comfortable; practical and with everything you could ever possibly need and more. A lovely welcome pack of bread, cheese, biscuits and wine were here on arrival, as well as a pint of milk in the fridge and fresh flowers on the table; toiletries provided, as well as a few other basics; free wifi available, as well as DVD player (integral in the tv - took me a few days to discover it!). The location is fantastic, overlooking the the canal basin from the sitting room balcony and the cathedral from the bedrooms, whence you can also catch sight of the river. Walking distance from the cathedral, other sites of interest and the town and market square, with major supermarkets close by - one entered from the market square and another just 5 minutes drive away. It's on the top floor of a building with a shared front door and entrance hallway, but I didn't hear any of the other residents at any time during my stay, except when I met them in the stair well a couple of times. The flat itself is very bright and comfortable. It's entirely suitable for one or two people or for a family with two children, though might be a little cramped for four adults. Really, I think, worth more than Sykes' three tick rating. Five on here for me. I will most definitely be back.
