Reviews

This is an excellent well maintained detached cottage in Aberdaron. It is close to all amenities that Aberdaron has to offer with the beach a matter of minutes away, a spar shop directly opposite and an excellent bakery / cafe a minutes walk away. The cottage has all the amenities you will need together with an enclosed area to the rear which is not only dog secure but is a sun trap. It should also be noted that Aberdaron is a dog friendly place, they are welcome in the pubs and cafes.

We had a really lovely time in this well presented property. Clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen and the added plus of washing machine and tumble dryer (if needed!). The rear garden is enclosed making it ideal for taking our dog with us too. Really close to the beach too. Will definitely visit again. Thank you to the owners for making us so welcome.

This is a great property in an excellent location. We would certainly consider going there again in the future.

The cottage was spacious, well equipped, very clean and has a great back patio which is a perfect spot for catching some sun and sheltering from the wind. The owners and all their staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable.

Pen Y Bont was very welcoming, comfy, well equipped and dead centre of the village. It has ample off road parking and the owners were very friendly. The best holiday cottage we've ever been in. Excellent holiday and value for money.

It was warm and comfortable, and the games room and bike storage were a bonus. A beautiful place, so near to the beach with great cliff walks.

The overall cosiness of this property was lovely. It was so quiet and relaxed. We especially loved the log burner in the front room which was lovely as it was a little nippy late afternoon, early evening. A long breezy walk on the beach that's just over the bridge and then back to the cottage to a burning stove and a glass of wine. What could be better? I promise if you try this cottage you will love it!

The property was very enjoyable. The owners live locally and were very helpful. The property is situated in the heart of the small village of Aberdaron so was very convenient for the amenities that are available, the beach is yards away and the property is dog friendly providing you are a responsible pet owner. I would definitely recommend this property, many thanks for a relaxing week.

We stayed during October half-term and had a superb week exploring the area. The cottage is in a great location being in the village centre and about 100 yards from the beach. The cottage has everything you need, is clean, warm and obviously well maintained and provided an ideal base for exploring the local area. The local pubs, restaurants and shops provide everything you need and the local bakery has cakes to die for. Definitely one to come back to.

It was a lovely property, good size and plenty of room. The bedrooms in particular are well decorated with lovely finishing touches and it was a perfect location.

It was very comfortable and well maintained, the beds were particularly comfy. The cottage was excellent with its position in the village, it was convenient for local amenities, the beach and coastal walks.

The location is excellent, very close to amenities and the beach. There is plenty of off-road parking and there is also a games room which contains an additional fridge and freezer.

An absolutely great cottage to stay at. Close to all amenities and with dog friendly accommodation we were able to take our very quiet boxer on a short break for the first time in years. The property suited requirements down to the enclosed rear garden and great walks in the locality.

Rated by Mr Lewis reviewed on 24th January 2015

The cottage was in a fantastic location, near the lovely beach with access to great costal walks. It was great that we could take the dog with us and the property was extremely clean with no horrible doggie smells lingering about. Would definitely go there again.

A lovely cosy cottage in the heart of the village. Everything on hand in a beautiful area.

Rated by Mr Haines reviewed on 18th November 2014

It was comfortable, the décor was good and it was clean & tidy. The plus side was the hard floors (ideal if you have animals) along with the well enclosed patio area and front area. It was a really lovely cottage. Aberdaron is a real jewel surrounded by stunning countryside. A pretty near perfect holiday for us! Would definitely come again.

Well we stayed here a week from June 7th and well first of all when we arrived we were so surprised at the location of the cottage. Its literally smack bang in the middle of aberdaron! Some of my family weren't too happy about this as they wanted a cottage with sea views in a secluded area...but they quickly changed their minds. ITS SO DAMN CONVENIANT!! The cottage was spotless, they supplied us with a welcoming bottle of wine and THEY HAVE INTERNET ACCESS!! (Very rare around the llyn) the town was welcoming to us and we got to know some of the shop workers. The beach is a minutes walk away and the bus to pwllheli is right outside your door. My only criticism of this cottage was: wish there was a table and chairs at the front of the building as its quite nice to people watch the holiday makers, the deposit is expected the second day of booking (what's the point of applying for a deposit if its expected the second day of booking...you may as well ask for payment in full on the day of booking). I also wished the kitchen was a little lighter..its kinda a box room. But the convenience of the cottage overweighs most of these issues. Otherwise everything was perfect!!

The position of the cottage was perfect for all the amenities and brilliant for my dog, all secure. Aberdaron is a little gem of a find - pubs, cafés, shops, the beach and the views are amazing and the people are so welcoming and friendly . We had a lovely relaxing time and we will be returning soon.

A superb location with a huge amount of parking. No owner personal effects makes it feel more like a holiday home rather then someone's own home. There was excellent outdoor space, great local facilities, two fab pubs and an excellent bakery.

Rated by Mrs Latham reviewed on 26th May 2014

I thought the locality was so good, particularly if you haven't a car as the bus stop is right outside. It was roomy and very clean and handy for beach, walks, shop, cafe's, pubs etc.
