If you are looking for an established but not overcrowded tourist holiday spot with some history, then head straight for Tintagel. The village has pubs, restaurants and the NT Old Post Office. Just out of the village lie the ruins of King Arthur's castle. The SW coastal path runs through the village, and wends it way over cliff tops and down to the water in both directions. There are several beaches and plenty of stunning scenery in the area, and within reach are quaint Boscastle, surfer's mecca Bude, the Eden Project and Padstow.
Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
We stayed here for a week. Lovely house, very clean and spacious with everything that you need. Fully enclosed beautiful garden ideal as we took our dog so was able to let her just come in and out as she pleased. A short flat 10/15 mins walk into Tintagel with a good selective of pubs serving food, coffee shops, gift shops etc. Best beach was a short drive Trebarwith Strand. A good base to get out and about Cornwall.
It was excellent, lovely sized and the garden is fully enclosed so was safe for our dog. It was a 10/15min walk into Tintagel with some nice coffee shops, restaurants, chip shop and pubs.
Wonderful cottage and garden in a great location. Highly recommend.
We liked everything about it, such a beautiful place. We didn't want to go home and had a lovely week.
The cottage is in an excellent location, is only a short walk from the cliffs and the beach and is spacious and spotlessly clean.
A lovely property in a great location - within easy walking distance of Tintagel.
The location of the property was fantastic. Everything is either a few minutes walk or a short drive. The owners next door are lovely.
Perfect for our family get together, very spacious for six adults. Lovely views, very quiet.
The cottage was perfect.
We really enjoyed our holiday. The cottage was really nice and cosy, perfect for a family holiday. The view from the cottage was amazing. The people in the area were really friendly and made you feel really welcome. It was a nice quiet area and hopefully we will return in the future!
Wonderful location and very comfortable house to come back to in the evening. Perfect for our needs.
Myself, my husband, son and daughter-in-law and two grandaughters visted at the beginning of June. We had stayed here in September 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves then. We chose June this year hoping that the weather would be better. It wasn't. However, we still managed to dodge most of the showers and once again had a good time. Thoroughly recommend this cottage.Spotlessly clean and lovely gardens and within walking distance of Tintagel. The Benwell Family.
The Round House was a lovely surprise when we arrived. I had seen photos, but when we got there we were really pleased with the cottage. It was very clean and tidy and the owners were completely non-intrusive, but happy to help if asked. The location is great and it is just a short walk into Tintagel... just far enough out of town to be nice and peaceful, close enough to get to the pubs and restaurants, have a few drinks and walk back. It would have been nice to have a few maps and guides available in the cottage as there are lots of walks to be had. I would definitely recommend the cottage and would go back myself in the future.
We stayed in the same cottage in September 2011 and liked it so much we went back this July. We cannot fault this cottage at all.
The cottage was clean and tidy with lovely gardens. It is situated in a great location with nice owners.
Excellent property and we cannot wait to return! Tintagel is a lovely village.
Great location, great coastal walks, really lovely place to stay!
Friendly, helpful owners and a lovely clean, well equipped cottage. I would definitely recommend it.
