Reviews

Had a lovely short break at this cottage. Its a good spot to get to everything on Anglesey. Cottage had everything you need few things looking a little tired but it was ok. Only thing we found annoying is we booked it because it said broadband wifi was part of price but you actually have to pay for it when get there. All in all though a nice place and a brilliant place for a family to stay.

We liked this place so much we didn't want to leave. Honestly, it was just perfect for us. All you could see through the large lounge windows were trees and birds and the mountains in the distance. Just perfect. The cottage was very well equipped and decorated really well. The bathroom was very clean and modern, as was the kitchen.

The cottage was beautiful and clean. Perfectly located for both Angelsey and North Wales. The children loved it and are asking for us to go back next year! Cottage owner and neighbour were very helpful and gave us a warm welcome. A real home from home cottage, we will be back.

We particularly liked the comfort and homeliness of this property and surrounding area. Excellent shower, and always plenty of hot water. Our boys loved the steps between the kitchen and living room, these had an unexpected appeal. The beautiful views from the living room, comfy sofas and the log burner made for lovely cosy evenings in.

We have just returned from a relaxing long weekend away at Bwthyn Gwyn. Everything about this cottage was brilliant and the owners were on hand for any problems. The location was fab, only a few minutes from the main road but has amazing views.

Rated by Mrs Kerry reviewed on 27th January 2015

The owner met us and was very pleasant and helpful. Liked the stunning views and the position of the cottage is excellent for visiting different parts of the island and was very close to Beaumaris.

Rated by Mrs Woodcock reviewed on 22nd January 2015

The owner gave us a warm welcome and was such a nice person. The cottage was warm, cosy and quiet. We lit the wood burning fire as it was December and very cold outside. The beds were comfortable and clean and the place was well decorated. The views from the double aspect windows in the lounge were amazing. We hope to book again soon as it was so relaxing and quiet.

Rated by Mr Gerrard reviewed on 23rd June 2014

We found this cottage on the internet and loved the look of it. On arrival it lived up to the expectation with a warm welcome from the owner and his dog who quickly adopted us as playmates for the week (the dog not the owner!!!). The cottage is in a beautiful setting and has been renovated to a high standard. It is very well equipped and in an excellent location for all of Anglesey as well as the Welsh mainland, including Snowdonia (visible from the settee) We loved this place!!

The best cottage we have stayed in, both in UK and Europe. Clearly a lot of thought and care had gone into making the cottage home from home. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

The owners left you to your own devices but were very friendly and helpful when needed. The cottage was cosy and warm and staying in due to inclement weather was a pleasure, especially the views out of the window in the lounge.

We loved the layout of the cottage and the view of the garden and beyond from the picture window made it a pleasure to return to each evening. Lots to do for us on the island and nearby. An enjoyable holiday was had by all.

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely location - a perfect holiday.

Rated by Mrs Cooper reviewed on 26th July 2012

We loved the wow factor of the glass walls in the living room, and also the swallows nesting right above the door. All in all a very nice, comfortable cottage with great views of Snowdonia.

Rated by Mrs Freeman reviewed on 25th July 2012

The cottage is exactly as in the photos, with good quality fittings. The kitchen and living room are open-plan with two steps down dividing the two. We felt very much at home here and loved the view to the mountains from the sofa. Access to the cottage is via a single-track lane and an unsurfaced driveway. The single-track lane is accessible from both ends and we preferred to turn right at the top of the driveway as the lane was a little wider that way. The cottage is built next to the owner's own house but this is not visible from the living room, giving us the feeling that Snowdonia belonged to us alone. Nearby Lllangefni has everything anyone could need, including an Asda, Lidl and an Aldi. We also liked the Waitrose near Menai Bridge Our top tip is the Port of Amlwch. The car park is free, has toilets and the walk up to the right along the clifftop is very pretty. Very peaceful and unspoilt. Afterwards, try `The Sail Loft´ above the car park. A unique building with a cafe and exhibition and the nicest staff on the island.

Very stylish and well thought out cottage in an excellent location for good access to all areas, and yet felt well and truly off the beaten track. Owners live on site but were completely unobtrusive, although charming and helpful if needed.
