We found Boundcliffe Farm ideal for our family holiday. Everything considered, location, amenities and access we do not believe we could have found anywhere better.

Large house ideal for larger group like us. Kitchen was great really the hub of the house. The kids loved having space to run about, the trampoline and pool table were a bonus.

Rated by Mrs Mulholland reviewed on 23rd July 2016

The house was beautiful, the children enjoyed the quirky layout of the house and the two staircases made it perfect for hide and seek! It served our party of four generations (ages 1-92yrs) very well.

We had a great time at the cottage, everything you need was there.

Rated by Mrs Lamb reviewed on 20th May 2016

Had an absolutely fantastic weekend at Boundcliffe Farm. The hosts were fantastic. Loved the home made cake and bread that was waiting for us on arrival. The cottage was in the perfect location for us and had everything that we could have possibly wanted. Would defiantly recommend staying here as a large group.

Rated by Miss Moran reviewed on 8th March 2016

A fantastic property with lovely extra little touches, and the owners couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommended.

Rated by Mrs Missett reviewed on 23rd January 2016

Recently returned from a long weekend at Boundcliffe Farm with the family. Cottage the perfect size for the 10 of us.Loved the little 'secret' door between the 2 bedrooms and the younger kids loved running up and down the 2 staircases. Obviously got to mention the freshly cooked bread and cake on arrival. We all made good use of the games room, especially the pool table and dartboard. Despite the weather we enjoyed playing on the trampoline at the back. The whole accommodation was spacey but cosy and the wood burning fire was perfect for the dark evenings. Can't really fault anything, as everything we needed was there (though we could have done with instructions on using the dishwasher and electric oven/grill). It's a shame we couldn't have the bonfire the owner was going to arrange one night due to the bad weather. Ideal location and close to Scarborough. Would definitely recommend Boundcliffe Farm and hope to return again maybe in the summer months,

Lots of space and things to do, especially in the games room. The accommodation was warm and cosy, a real home from home. Made to feel really welcome.

We loved this quirky farmhouse with the big kitchen where we could all eat together. The children loved the games room and the football pitch and of course wi-fi. There were some lovely touches like home made bread and cake on arrival. The farm is well placed for visiting the coast and Dalby Forest. We would definitely visit again. Great for a family get-together.

A great family holiday cottage with a great playing field for the kids. The accommodation was ideal for a family holiday with a really useful playroom for the children with TV, pool table, darts, videos and endless games. There were lovely walks in Dalby Forest for the dogs, from the cottage.

Just returned from a wonderful holiday. We were greeted when we arrived at the cottage by a yummy cake and fresh baked cake - what a treat!! The cottage was clean and spacious the accommodation was great for a big family, the field at the back with trampoline and play equipment and the playroom were perfect for the kids, they had a ball!! Thank you so very much for our lovely holiday xx

The enclosed garden was excellent for the dog and the children loved the play area with the trampoline and football pitch. It is a beautiful village with nice walks and within easy reach of a number of places.

Boundcliffe Farm was perfect for us (two families meeting up) - loads of space for the kids. We all found the cottage very comfy and are hoping to return some time.

Rated by Mrs Sandercock reviewed on 24th March 2015

Just back from our stay at Boundcliffe Farm. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's rare to find a holiday home that accommodates so many while not at any point feeling crowded. The place had everything we needed and more. Loved the games room and all the little extras, toys DVDs (well VHS actually but that was wonderfully retro). The children loved the little door and ran round and round the house. A working farm so cows, horses and tractors all around. For the adults the log fire, darts and pool while the kids slept meant that we didn't miss the pub in evening at all. To top it off a homemade cake and bread in the breadmaker greeted us upon arrival. Lots of very thoughtful little touches. All in all a fab place and we're already planning a return trip.

Rated by LJBrum reviewed on 23rd March 2015

The cottage was ideally situated for country/coast. The property was ideal for our party size and the kids loved being on the farm and were able to play in back field - would definitely use again.

Rated by Mrs Tisshaw reviewed on 9th March 2015

Stayed here last year (sorry its late but just started looking for this years break).By the photos it looked ideal,3 teenagers with us ,so games room and football pitch helped. But rest let it down badly, the beds were so uncomfortable we all slept badly, deceptively busy road right next to bedrooms, the shower over the bath was a joke.you would get more water from a leaking gutter! the on-suite was ok, the plates wouldn't fit in the dishwasher. The whole place felt very dated. For that sort of money i expect a bit better quality of finish.

Rated by Mrs Snodgrass reviewed on 24th February 2015

Loved this cottage. Great location. Three families stayed for new year. Very well equipped. Made to feel really welcome with homemade bread and cake on arrival. Warm, clean and great for a large party. Kids loved the games room. Great farmhouse kitchen and table for family meals. Only downside was layout of bedrooms. Three families staying together and we had to compromise over bedrooms ie only 2 double rooms. Loved the real fire. Great for cosy evenings and bottle of wine.

A brilliant place to spend time with friends and their children near to Christmas. We would certainly recommend to others and our kids want to know when we're going back. So many nice places to visit nearby, the kids favourite part of weekend was the holiday house though. Thanks for great holiday!

This property was perfect for our family group and the owners couldn't have made us more welcome. The property is quirky and the games room means there's always something to keep you occupied whatever the weather. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Rated by Mrs Missett reviewed on 3rd February 2014

We had a great time - what a wonderful surprise to arrive and find Christmas decorations up, a loaf of bread in the breadmaker, a tin of chocs under the tree, and a cake on the table! We used our week well and thoroughly explored the forest, the beaches and the villages. The location was just brilliant. We were a party of 7 adults and the 3 living areas suited us superbly. Huge kitchen for our Christmas turkey dinner! Thanks for the warm welcome, we appreciated everything you did.

Rated by Mrs Mawhinney reviewed on 31st December 2013

Although I have only rated some things as good or average this does not mean we were at all disappointed. On the contrary, because we had four small children and six adults in our party we could relax perfectly and let the children enjoy themselves without worrying too much about damaging the property. It was perfect for our needs. Thanks again for recommending it to us on our initial enquiry

We had a great family Christmas in this lovely family-friendly cottage. Plenty of room for us all, the kids (big and small!) loved the games room, and the female members loved the big kitchen and large table! The extra finishing touches from the owner were very welcome and much appreciated - the home-made cake, loaf baking in the bread-maker, tea/coffee/milk and sugar, but especially the little gifts for the children under the Christmas tree. What a lovely thought. We all really enjoyed our week there - we hope to return and would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Rated by Mrs Withers reviewed on 30th December 2012

We enjoyed a great family Christmas at this lovely family-friendly cottage. Plenty of room for us all (6 adults, 2 children, a baby and a dog) and the games room was a big hit with everyone. The large kitchen with a table big enough to seat everyone was brilliant. The children had great fun with the 2 staircases - go up one set from the kitchen, through the bedrooms and appear down the other set into the lounge! The little extras provided by the owner (homecade cake, loaf baking in the breadmaker, tea/coffee/milk and sugar) were much appreciated, and an especially nice touch were the little gifts left under the Christmas tree for the children. We hope to return and would definitely recommend this cottage.

Rated by Carole W reviewed on 30th December 2012

Everything was just right for an excellent family holiday. Clean, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty to entertain the kids and it was in a good position for getting to a range of venues. Just don't eat at the village pub-had to be the worst food and least friendly waitress-although the beer and landlord werte good.

Rated by A FlipKey verified reviewer reviewed on 13th December 2012

The cottage was really lovely & the owner made a lovely welcome pack for us that was very 'welcome'! The info book was very good & told us everything we needed to know, although the owner of the property was only next door & if we needed anything - but we didn't. I would & already have recommended this property to other people.

It was a great family break in a good location. It was easy to get to York and Whitby. There were plenty of beds and lots of seating for us all. Also it was the only self catering accommodation that we have stayed in that had adequate cutlery and crockery.

Rated by Mrs Corby reviewed on 30th July 2012

A good size to the cottage with plenty of space for children and adults. The games room was brilliant and the kitchen lovely with the added bonus of home-made cake and bread, yum!

Rated by Mr Graham reviewed on 26th July 2012

This was a last minute booming to replace a washed out camping trip and we're very glad we changed our plans. Lovely cottage, well appointed and spacious and without that "holiday cottage" smell that you get so often. Very clean and bright rooms and welcomed our canine companion happily too. Fresh bread baking on arrival and a home made cake waiting too which was very welcome. The wood burning stove was great. Perfect position for exploring the North Yorkshire moors and close to the coast too. The pub quiz in the local pub was enormous fun on Sunday night too. Our only tiny critcism is that for people who really like to cook when we go away, a few more pots, utensils and pans would be welcome in the kitchen. Highly recommended!! Thank you very much

The cottage was exactly as described. The fresh baked bread and cake was very welcome. The owners were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. It is a perfect location for the coast and countryside. The car pass for Dalby Forest was used twice and the scones at the visitor centre recommended! We were very lucky with the weather, hardly a cloud each day, however the log burner kept the evening chill out beautifully.

This was the best cottage I have stayed in! The owners were extremely helpful and pleasant. The cottage was very well equipped. There was a box of toys suitable for my grandson, a pool table, air hockey, darts set and playstation for us. The garden was self-contained so suitable for small children and dogs and there was use of a football pitch with a trampoline and slide. We arrived to the welcome of fresh baked bread and a home-baked cake. I feel these owners have high standards and want to make sure their guests have everything they can provide. I would definitely recommend it!

Rated by Mrs Walling reviewed on 9th May 2011

From arriving to leaving the owner could not have been more friendly, helpful and hospitable. She was wonderful from welcoming us on arrival, to letting us know where she was if we needed her, and finding out information for us. The fresh bread and cake were an added bonus, but even without those the farm, the property, the kind nature of the owner, the location, everything was wonderful. All 8 of my party agreed we would have loved to have stayed for a week. The house itself was beautiful and homely, from the wooden beams in the ceiling to the coal fire, we would loved to have been able to stay longer and do the activities we wanted to, interspersed with relaxing in the farm.

We booked as a small group of friends who wanted to just chill out together for the weekend and this is exactly what we did. We couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome. The guys enjoyed the games room whilst the girls mainly lounged in the living room and kitchen. We had a ride out to Scarborough for a few hours then back to the cottage to chill out.
