Reviews

Went for a weeks fishing however the weather and floods did not help ion that department. Mrs Phillips was a lovely lady and when a parcel for me had got lost she went out of her way to find it, Will be going back in the summer when weather improves and try to fish again. A must try whilst in the locality is the 3 horsehoes pub where they serve the most delicious pie called a 3 shu pie with a variety of fillings. The best tackle shop is Lobby`s in stonehouse who will put you on to the best places and are very reasonable in price. We did not sight see very much as it was a fishing holiday but there are plenty of things to see if you want to nearby.

We were greeted by friendly lady owner who took us to the rooms which were spotless with everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfy and the whole place was perfect. A jar of homemade jam and marmalade was waiting for us on arrival,a nice touch. With a Bistro for breakfast next door and a pub for evening meal two doors up the apartment is perfectly placed if you don't feel like cooking you own meals.

On arrival at No 1 Wards Court the owner Jackie was extremely friendly and happily the accommodation was exactly as shown in picture's on line, very clean with everything needed for a self catering stay. If requested The Bistro next door will deliver an excellent Breakfast to your room. We sat outside the waterside Café at Saul's Junction watching the narrow boats pass Gloucester with its stunning Cathedral.and Historic Dock is an excellet day out. Despite the weather we had a enjoyable stay and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Nothing was too much trouble for Jackie and her Quiches and Preserves are Famous in Frampton Happy Days

As a last minute booking for Easter weekend we could not have chosen better. It was clean, nicely decorated and had everything you could want. There are two pubs within walking distance, they both do good food. Would definitely book again.

The flat was perfect for the two of us and wonderfully situated for any one interested in walking or bird watching. We used the car once to go to Slimbridge and for the other five days walked from the accommodation. Make sure you cross the green walk down the public footpath and take in the scenery and the lakes.

Well equipped and ideally situated for any one interested in walking and birdwatching. Easy access to Slimbridges Wetland Centre but enough to do in the local area with walks along the canal and especially across the village green down the public footpath to the wonderful lakes.

Absolutely everything that we needed was provided. The owner was helpful telling us of places to visit and the easiest way to get there. The location was great, right on the village green with shop and pub serving bar meals in walking distance.

This village apartment is h in a good for walking and cycling as wellas car based trips . There are two pubs in the village within very easy walking distance as well as a restaurant . It is well fitted out for two people but lacks a dishwasher . Parking is on road but ample and easy . It has a very good double/king bedroom The bathroom larges and would have benefiited from a shower cubicle . We found the apartment cold on arrival and it took a little while to warm through but once warm was fine . Would use again for a short break

We rented this apartment for 1 week, we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The apartment is very well described and is exactly as the photographs depict. Plenty of hot water, well furnished and equipped. We would definitely stay again.

Walking and cycling from door. The website pictures do not do justice to the property, in particular the bedroom is much larger than it appears. A comfortable bed and sofa.

We are from South Africa and our currency does not go far. Despite this we felt the stay at our first ever Sykes let, Wards Court, was good value for money. It was comfortable, well equipped, and the owner was friendly and helpful but never intrusive! I particularly liked that she had requested guests to suggest what she could add to better equip the flat, e.g. full length mirror and then had bought these items. Really hope to be able to return. Have recommended Sykes to other South Africans visiting the UK. A lovely part of the UK.

You never quite know what to expect when booking a holiday cottage - we requested non smoking, no pets/animals, twin room etc. All too often these conditions are breached by someone the week before we arrive. However, this property was spotless. Beautifully decorated and finished to a very high spec, with nice comfortable beds. There was a welcome pack which included a bottle of wine, home-made biscuits etc and milk in the fridge - just what we needed after a long trip. Thank you.

A quiet, comfortable, pleasant property, that has been thoughtfully designed and presented. The village green and surrounding area were a nice surprise. The cottage is in a good location for exploring the surrounding area.

The flat was perfect for my needs, quiet but not isolated. The village is interesting with lovely walks and close to excellent birdwatching, yet close to city facilities.

The location of the property was quiet and ideal for walking along the canal. Convenient to Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust. Also convenient for touring the Cotswolds or shopping in Gloucester and Cheltenham. The location was relaxing and the owner was most welcoming and helpful.

The apartment was perfect for my needs, quiet and well appointed. It is very suitable for a person travelling alone as it feels safe and is comfortable. The village is delightful and there is plenty to do in the area. I would be very happy to return.
