Lovely peacefull location. Well equipped and nicely furnished cottage that was warm and cosy in no time following a day out. Charming hamlet of Ford, nature reserve and the Old Dairy all close by. Welcome gifts of chocolates and wine left by owner. Such a wonderful week away from towns and cities!

It was a very comfortable and cosy cottage with beautiful views and everything we needed. It was in a very good location to travel around and make the most of the area. We enjoyed the peace and tranquillity and experiencing some wildlife close to the cottage. Our hostess was very thoughtful and helpful.

The remoteness of the cottage was ideal for what we wanted - ideal for getting away from it all and walking our dog. The kitchen was great - very impressed with how well-equipped it was. Loved the under-floor heating in the bathroom and how warm and cosy the cottage was.

We were delighted with the cottage which was very comfortable and had everything needed. Our dog particularly liked the very pretty, tidy and clean garden, the lovely walks down quiet lanes and hare spotting. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We both agree it was the best cottage we have stayed in and will certainly return. We have recommended it to friends and family.

Lovely well maintained cottage and garden surrounded by peaceful farmland. There were nesting swallows and the bird feeders in the garden were kept filled which attracted many birds. The cottage is conveniently close to all the major attractions and coastline of North Northumberland with the added bonus of being close to the less busy Scottish borders.

This is an excellent cottage in a perfect location. We've travelled the UK for many years and have stayed in a variety of cottages - this is the only place we've stayed more than once which says everything about the high standard of this accommodation. Highly recommended.

Our time at Barmoor Ridge was filled with wonderful walks, beautiful scenery, lovely accommodation and helpfulness from the owners of the cottage. The cottage is ideally situated for: visits to the coast - picking our way over some of the best shores we have ever walked; treking over the Cheviot Hills with a wonderful backdrop of fields and woodlands; visiting the border towns of Scotalnd which offer so much charm; or for just lazing around, reading or having a nap in such lovely quiet surrounds, interrupted only by the odd tractor, bird song or the bleat of a lamb. The couple who own the property are very warm and friendly people. A welcome pack was there on arrival and had all the right things.

The entire holiday was lovely. The location of the property is ideal for hill walking (The Cheviots are only a few miles away) for strolling along the beach; miles of sands set in wonderful bays within easy reach, and so many places of interest. The cottage is just right and so peaceful. The hosts are exceptionally nice people.
