Reviews

Each year we book a weekend/short break for our totally spoilt border collie. Ideally we look for something in a rural location, with a pub within walking distance and somewhere to give the dog a walk before heading out to the hills. Pleased to say this fir the bill perfectly. Not much to do in Chelmorton, but some great views of the surrounding countryside and a good pub. The cottage is clean, warm and comfortable and had the added bonus of having a separate paddock area where the dog could run to her hearts content. Good sized TV and selection of DVD's, although we weren't too bothered about watching TV as shattered from days out walking. The only suggestions i would make to the owners - get the website photos updated. Your double bedroom is sooo much nicer now and ditch the picture of the half empty cupboard showing the tea/coffee/bics add more pics of the paddock area much better selling point. Thoroughly enjoyed our break away, excellent value for money and would definitely return.

We like everything about this holiday. The cottage was located in a nice quite village with a very good pub 5 minutes walk away and serving excellent food. A welcome drink with the owners of the cottage on the Friday evening was very nice. And the welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, bread and biscuits were nice also.

We stayed at 2 and 3 Primitive Mews, these cottages are really well located, a short drive from Bakewell and Chatsworth. The off road parking, right by the door, was really handy. The interior is really comfortable in both properties, with great amenities, the huge TV was really handy in the evenings when only a DVD would do. Plus the showers were outstanding!
