Absolutely stunning location. The apartment had everything we needed and the owner was incredibly helpful with getting our luggage to and from the rental. Would not hesitate to go back!

After arriving and being assisted down the cliff to this delightful cottage, I was completely in awe of this wonderful location. Looking out through the lounge window all I could see was a fantastic stretch of beach that I had simply not expecting to be so beautiful. The sun glistened off the sea as we walked along hand in hand and I wondered if this was just may be....a little slice of paradise. We met Jim the owner on the first night; a wonderfully charismatic man we happily shared a beer with. At this point we had no idea this very gentleman was the very first person to row the Pacific unsupported. Down to earth and straight talking, he was a perfect host. The cliff was a challenge even for us relatively fit 40 somethings! But always worth the effort. The cottage was well equipt and very comfy. It was a wonderful week with some fantastic weather.

We have just spent a fabulous week in this cottage. it is literally on the beach and the views are breathtaking. The accomodation is very well equipped and comfortable and although the steep access is challenging we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed recently, knowing the area well living in nearby Plymouth. This place feels like worlds away from the city in a unique secluded location on Tregonhawke beach. We saw every type of weather walking on the beach and along the cliff path to nearby Rame head where you can see Plymouth sound and Looe from the same point on a clear day. Some might find the walk down from the road too much (we would advise keeping luggage to a minimum) but for us this was part of the charm, if it were easier the place might be over-run with tourists. Instead it truly feels like Cornwall's forgotten corner. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and the accommodation is perfect. We can't wait to visit again.

A friendly and helpful owner, outstanding location, beautiful area with lots of interesting things to do. Particularly good for active, outdoor people and families with teenagers.

If you can handle the steps (144 of them) and the steep path, this is an amazing place to stay. We were lucky the weather was great, so during the week we had no need to go anywhere else to enjoy ourselves, but simply stayed in the cottage, on the patio, on the beach and in the water. At low tide there is ample time to walk a few miles along the beach and back. And the owner is a legend!

The solitude, the constant sound of the sea, proximity to the beach and friendliness of the neighbours, made the climb down the cliff worth it.
