From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
The cottage was situated within a beautiful area and the complex was very well appointed and maintained. Due to the isolation of the cottage it was very quiet at night leading to a good nights sleep.
Warm and cosy, this was a perfect base to explore the lovely Isle of Whithorn and the surrounding area. It was a very easy 'home from home' for our short break, with lots of hot water for showers on return from a hard day's walking, and an evening of chill out film nights.
A lovely, comfortable cottage in a peaceful location, with outstanding scenery and lovely walks. Came back home feeling very refreshed.
The chalet, the area, the people, the weather, everything! Cannot make a negative comment about the whole experience.
It is very quiet and peaceful at Laigh Isle. The property had everything we needed and the biscuits and milk in the kitchen when we arrived were very thoughtful. Will definitely go back. Perfect base for exploring.
Everything was lovely - very clean and well stocked with everything you would need. Would come back.
The setting is very peaceful and picturesque and ideal for us on holiday. The accommodation had everything we needed and was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property and location.
Quiet, relaxing and peaceful. Loved the area and the fabulously short walk to the sea (15-20 seconds).
We had a good week, lots to do and the peace was great we had a good run around.
A very peaceful location when we were there and we had plenty of walks with our dog. The weather made it for us. It was perfect.
Good location. Very good cottage, well equipped and very clean.
An excellent cottage on a private estate. There is good coastal walking and nearby forestry commission walks and the pub on the harbour had excellent meals and Camra awards.
The cottage was in a nice area. Very disappointed with the kitchen area, wasn't as clean as it could have been, the cooker wasn't very nice and the utensils needed to be washed.
Loved where the cottage was situated and the walks (as I had the dog), the harbour and of course having 7 days of continuous sunshine!
Location was excellent, weather was very good allowing us to get about on walks easy. Local pub at harbour fantastic
