A delightful, stone-built detached Grade II listed farmhouse on a working arable farm, in an isolated position at the end of a long track, 1 mile from Llanfachraeth village and its local pub, yet just a few hundred yards walk to the coast, deserted coves and beaches found along this craggy western coast of Anglesey. This lovely Anglesey cottage is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1849, and has been sympathetically restored to retain many original features, with exposed beams, sash windows, slate floors, and low doorways throughout. This Anglesey cottage offers a fitted kitchen with pantry/utility room, a separate dining room with exposed beams, Rayburn stove and upright piano, and two delightful sitting rooms, allowing the adults to relax in one room, whilst the children play in the other. Outside, this Anglesey cottage is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are fantastic views of Holyhead Bay and the cottage has its own private track down to the coast. There is an enclosed lawn, a safe place for the children to play whilst you sit and soak up the sunshine, or cook the catch of the day over the BBQ. I spent a peaceful and relaxing time here with friends. A clean, comfortable and beautiful farmhouse cottage. Lovely and warm with a cosy wood burner for the cold evenings. Plenty of room for 6 adults. A stone's throw away from a beautiful beach with breathtaking views. I'll definitly be booking again and i know my friends are booking with their families.*****

Recently spent a very relaxing short break here with friends. Cottage retains delightful olde worlde charm with modern amenities. Definitely worth a short break visit, whatever the weather! Many thanks for the welcome pack! Hope to return later in the year.

Lovely cottage in a very quiet remote area with beach 10 mins walk away down a private pathway next to holiday let. Met by lovely owners who showed us round. Lovely quaint cottage with a lovely homely feel to it. Could do with some slight TLC to walls and ceilings and maybe some new kitchen items as some are a little old i.e. Kettle. Toaster and utensils also bigger towels in bathroom would be good too plus some more shelving to store your toiletries though this does not detract from the lovely stay we had. On a working farm complete with Sheep chickens and a sheepdog called jack. Would come back in summer months when weather is better so we can do more .

Comfy, homely feel to the house, good location and views. We like the isolation and the wonderful friendly owners. This was our 4th visit and it was as good as ever, roll on next years trip!

A delightful cottage and location.

Rated by Mrs Yates reviewed on 24th July 2016

The property was just as described, close to local amenities yet far enough away to enjoy total peace with only birds rabbits and cows for company, total bliss. It is a fabulous location, a real Enid Blyton 'Famous Five' place for children of all ages (even our age). I cannot fault it and I am sure we will return. We have returned home feeling as though we have had the best holiday ever. Congratulations to the owners who were very friendly but discreet, their execution of the renovation and their choice of décor was just perfect, thank you.

The kitchen was the best equipped we have come across with all the white goods you would expect at home! The setting and the views were truly stunning and offer a fantastic tranquil break whilst also giving access to the beach. Truly brilliant holiday.

Beautiful location, quiet and isolated while still being near places and shops etc. Ty Fferm Bodlasan is a wonderful old house, full of character and within walking distance of the sea. We had a wonderful holiday!

Rated by Mr Allen reviewed on 28th February 2016

It is a lovely place to relax, a real sun trap and great private walk to the beach.

This holiday cottage is in a fabulous location, the perfect place to relax. This has been our third visit to the property and we will definitely be visiting again in the nearby future!

The location is absolutely gorgeous; peaceful and tranquil with virtually its own private beach. The sunsets each evening were breathtaking. The farmhouse is beautifully decorated and finished. It was cosy in the evenings with a real fire in the sitting room. The owners were welcoming and supplied us with bikes to ride and fresh eggs to eat.

Quiet, relaxing property and garden. We had a warm welcome from the owners. The beach was just a short walk along a track and the views were lovely.

Another amazing week! The proximity to such a wonderful safe beach for our children is the reason we returned this year and we were not disappointed. The Welcome pack of goodies and the extra touch of 2 pots of bubbles for the girls was lovely and again, the family were so friendly and welcoming. The house provides everything we need in a quiet and beautiful location. I am sure we will be back!

The owners had thought about everything - and more - their guests would need whilst staying at the house. The location was wonderful and the house had a very warm and welcoming feel to it.

Beautiful and very private location with fabulous walking and easy access to a sandy beach. Very well equipped, comfortable and warm property. Friendly helpful owners - you could not ask for more.

Lovely cottage, very warm with good central heating, and a beautiful setting overlooking the sea and fields. We were very pleased. Also liked the concern of the owners to ensure we were having a nice time, and they genuinely wanted feedback on how they could improve. A lovely cottage and perfect getaway!

Rated by Miss Osborne reviewed on 23rd April 2014

The cottage had been very well decorated and was very cosy. It was great that there was a stair gate and high chair all helpful with a little one. We thought the upstairs in particular had been decorated very nicely. We also appreciated the log burner in the lounge. The location was excellent as so close to the sea.

Rated by Mrs Varley reviewed on 2nd April 2014

What a wonderful cottage. Truely isolated and utterly peaceful, enjoyed spectacular views across both the coast and the Anglesey countryside. What better way to spend a windy evening than toasting your toes in front of the log burner, before going to bed in one of the beautiful and cosy bedrooms? The pictures of the cottage really don't do it justice.

Rated by Mrs Waye reviewed on 23rd February 2014

Beautiful house and location. Very friendly and helpful owners. Fantastic views. Easy to travel to other parts of Anglesey. The bathroom was fantastic, large, pretty and lovely to sit in the roll-top bath with a glass of wine, candles and watching the sun set. We felt very lucky to have been able to experience the former home of the owners, and know their history. Will revisit.

Rated by Mr Watson reviewed on 25th July 2013

The property was lovely and in a stunning location. It was quite isolated, which is just what we had wanted and expected. The owners were very friendly and attentive. The farmhouse itself is gorgeous and we loved the fact that so many old pieces of furniture were used and original features retained.

The house was very clean and set in a very idyllic location. A very good place to go if you want to get away from a busy lifestyle. There were so many places to go to and so many things to do.

Rated by Mr Hollows reviewed on 23rd October 2012

A lovely, atmospheric cottage that was a joy to stay at. Quiet and peaceful, well furnished and spotlessly clean. The owner was always willing to chat if needed.

Rated by Mr Jones reviewed on 22nd September 2012

We booked at the last minute on a limited budget and were very pleased with the property. Although it was May, the weather was cold so the log fire came in useful. The kids loved running down the almost private track to the beach, which had rock pools and views of Holy Island.

Rated by A FlipKey verified reviewer reviewed on 12th September 2012

We enjoyed the amazing view and the path down to the beach overlooking Holyhead, as well as the freedom for the kids to run around outside.

Rated by Mrs Monger reviewed on 25th July 2012

It was so peaceful and the owners were so friendly and welcoming. The house itself was gorgeous and the views were stunning - we had a fabulous holiday

Rated by Mrs Royle reviewed on 24th July 2012

The cottage was very warm, draft free and easy to manage. It is remote with no interference from neighbours. The owners were co-operative and helpful at all times, supplying logs and firewood as required. Views are good and easy access to the beach.

Rated by Mr Green reviewed on 3rd January 2012

The location is absolutely first class, just a few minutes stroll to the local beach and two more popular ones just a short drive away. Very secluded and you feel at ease with your surroundings from the moment you arrive. Will visit again!
