Reviews

Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need and very comfy bed, fabulous garden with private fishing pontoon. Pub with food almost next door. The owners David and Wendy are a lovely friendly couple who are there if needed but leave you in total peace and privacy. Will definitely return. The only downside is how booked up it already is for next years fishing season so may have to be 2025 before we can return. Highly recommended

The cottage was very well equipped and had a nice homely feel to it. It was so cosy and warm, fantastic to come into when you've been fishing most of the day. There are unspoilt views across the river which you can see from the lounge and main bedroom. The hosts were lovely, they are on hand if you need anything but do not impose on your privacy.

The garden was fantastic with apple and pear trees right down to the river. The fishing was good and I caught a 15lb pike along with several barbel, bream and perch. The stay was very relaxing and with a pub next door it made it easy for meals.

The owners were lovely and could not do enough for us, a bottle of wine and the most delicious lemon drizzle cake waiting when we arrived. The fishing was really good. Perfect location. The attention to detail was the best. Really liked the lighting, and views from the windows. The garden was the best and largest I have ever had in a holiday cottage, pretty riverside setting to watch the wildlife and barges passing from the numerous seats and summerhouse.
