We’ve just returned from a stay at The Barn and can highly recommend it. Perfectly positioned in a quiet, peaceful, rural location and with really quick and easy access to coastal areas such as Bridlington, Filey, Flamborough Head and Scarborough etc. The Barn is superbly equipped with everything we needed during our stay. It was impeccably presented and extremely comfortable. With a great parking and garden area we had every requirement catered for. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

The Barn is a great place to stay. Easy driving to Bridlington, Flamborough, Filey and Scarborough on the coast and Sledmere, York etc inland. Immaculately clean and equipped to a high specification with Freeview and WiFi. Dogs very much welcomed. We spent days strolling beaches and countryside and evenings watching Team GB pull in Rio medals. Hosts are genial, knowledgable and welcoming. There's dedicated parking and ample space. Definitely would revisit.

We had such a peaceful wonderful relaxing break with our 2 dogs and it was more than adequate for them. Anyone who enjoys a break from working hard and lives in a more urban environment needs to book up because even our dogs are still shattered from the week and lovely fresh air. The owners are lovely and kind. The Barn is a proper home from home. We'd definitely recommend The Barn, loved our week.

Everything about this upside down cottage is perfect. The location was very quiet but within reach of Bridlington, Filey, Whitby and Scarborough. The owners were very helpful and friendly but not over bearing. The little garden was perfect for the dogs, there was no escaping from it. The Barn itself is restored to a very good standard indeed. The upside down is wonderful. We would highly recommend this cottage.

The Barn was really warm and cosy. The bed was nice and firm and we had plenty of warm bedding. The sitting room and living area was very light during the day and was well lit at night. Everything was provided, including little things like salt and pepper, which often aren't. My husband had been poorly in the previous few months and the rest and quiet meant that he was able to relax and recuperate.

The Barn was a credit to the owners and we could have not wished for more from them, it was tastefully decorated throughout with all the comforts if not more of home. It was a good base for all the surrounding places we wanted to visit. We have stayed in other well known lodges but this property surpasses them by far.

We spent a week in this beautiful cottage in the summer. The owners are so welcoming, they have lots of local knowledge and are more than happy to give advice on places to see and how to get there. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything we could need and was very comfortable - a real home from home! We would definately stay again. 'The Barn' is located in a rural location near the owners home and their small caravan site (used april - October). A peaceful location, very safe for children and pets! Located 10 minutes from the beach at Hunmanby Gap or a little further afield are Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington. Great location to explore local seaside resorts, countryside walks or citites such as York. We loved our stay here, particularly how safe it was for our dog and the scenic country lane and beach walks. It was great to come back after a long day to a warm, homely cottage where we could curl up and relax!
