Lovely quirky little cottage with a beautiful garden and view. The cottage had everything we needed. We loved watching the race horses trotting past each morning. Good location to explore North Yorkshire.

This was a week long stay over xmas, fantastic little place on the edge of Middleham but very close to the various pubs and shops, the cottage is unique in the way that it is round and very spacious, as this was a visit out of season we were a bit worried as to whether it was going to be warm enough....no problem at all it was very warm with a wood burner and electric radiators, the kitchen is very well equipped with all the mod-cons including a dishwasher, the bed was very comfy and bedroom was very warm too, on arrival we were greeted by the owners who helped us in with our bags and advised us on the local area and then proceeded to show us around the cottage and a nice touch was a bottle of wine along with a xmas tree to make it more seasonal, nothing was too much trouble for the owners, we had a great week and would love to come back and explore more in the summertime, we will defiantly recommend the Roundhouse to others...Thanks for a great week. Had such a lovely 3 days staying at the round house. Richard & Hilary are brilliant hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The place itself is immaculately clean. The kitchen has all the equipment you could need. The dishwasher is a great feature. No pot washing is a bonus. Log burner is lovely and cosy, and does kick our lots of heat. The grounds are beautiful, fresh vegetable patch which Hilary kindly let us help our selves too. Seating area on the patio outside is great for your morning cuppa, watching the sheep graze in the opposite field. Even in the cold! The village has a few nice pubs, a quirky little team room (they sell good scones) and a village store, you can get extra fire kindle here. Would defiantly re visit this place.

A most romantic and quirky and beautiful cottage, complete with a fireplace (and thank heavens... a dishwasher!!). The place was very clean and came complete with all the modern amenities. We were so in love with the cute fireplace, that we barely used the TV or the wifi! After three days with the sheep, the greens, the quiet and the amazing pubs all around, we really did not want to leave. Absolutely amazing!

We have just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday in this quirky but very comfortable cottage. Although small it has everything you need for a relaxing holiday for two. Set in a walled vegetable garden with its own allocated private patio, it is very peaceful and quiet. The owners are really helpful and friendly and can't do enough to ensure you enjoy your stay. Local pubs, restaurants and a traditional country shop are two minutes walk away and it is within an hours drive of most of the local tourist attractions.

The Round House is in a quiet location overlooking farmland with grazing sheep. The stables were close by and it was wonderful to hear the clip clopping of horses. There was beautiful countryside on your doorstep with good shopping, restaurants and pubs very accessible. Would certainly stay here again.

In a good location so didn't have too far to travel to many of the walks available in the area. There was a pub a few minutes walk away which served very good food and had welcoming staff. A high standard of accommodation with good quality furnishings etc. A warm welcome received from the owner of the property, he gave us plenty of information about the area and the best places to eat.

The Roundhouse is a perfectly equipped cottage for a relaxing break. It's location within walking distance of Middleham's many pubs as well as its proximity to all the Dales has to offer makes for a perfect retreat. The owner is a superb host settling us in with local knowledge but without fuss.
