Reviews

We enjoyed our stay at Bluebell House, which was well equipped, spacious and very clean. Communication with Liam was great and he was a pleasure to deal with. Gardens were beautiful and safe for kids and our dog to explore. Recommended!

Liam's house is just stunning. The location was just perfect for a family getaway. The large amount bedrooms enabled the whole family to spread out meaning we only came together when we wanted to. The house has seven bedrooms, five with en-suite. There is also a large family bathroom for the remaining two rooms. There is two lounges with plenty of chairs and each with a large flat screen telly. The large gardens are very well kept and have a few small trails through them. The cleanliness and maintenance of the house was top notch and we could not fault anything. Liam the owner met us upon arrival and gave us a briefing on the functioning of the house, but there is also a house manual should you not be able to take all in from the briefing. We look forward to being able to book again in the summer.

The cottage and gardens were lovely shame about the work going on in the garden there was a patio mid build but apart from that everything was lovely. We arrived at 2.55pm after travelling from Liverpool from 3.30am we were left in the garden whilst the owners finished getting the property ready for 30 mins . We were then issued with an itinerary of do's and don't and asked to pay a 200euro deposit in cash. We were told previous tenants had been charged for not emptying the dishwasher not cleaning pans etc properly and warned the oil heater was expensive so to turn water heating/on off. We were charged 40 euros for fuel even though we did not once use the heating and turned the hot water off after each bath/shower, we were charged 15 euros for not emptying the bins and leaving sand in the bath and for the tea cups being stained even though we used the dishwasher to clean everything. To be honest it felt more like a way for the owner to subsidise his weekly rate! Such a shame we found everyone else in cork so lovely/friendly and have not had any problems in the past staying in rental cottages.

We stayed here whilst visiting Cork on a weekend for a birthday celebration and it was amazing! House was spotless, furnishings were nice and lovely inside with plenty of space, great isolated scenic location if that's your type of thing and beautiful gardens surrounding It. If only it had a jazzuzi/ swimming pool! I would highly recommend it and have done already to family and friends. I would love to come back in future and it will be top of my list!

This is an absolutely beautiful property with superb gardens and all the mod cons. The owners were very helpful in facilitating our visit and were great hosts. The gardens are amazing and there is plenty of space and privacy there yet Ballydehob is only a few minutes away and Schull/Skibbereen 15 minutes in each direction. Fantastic place - highly recommended!

The house and gardens are amazing. You could sit and relax for hours looking at the landscaping. The little extras around the house were very unexpected, there were board games, a large DVD and video collection and some out door games.

Have just enjoyed a fabulous holiday in bluebell house. The house itself is stunning and very modern and clean. It has 6 spacious double bedrooms and 1 single. Thee are showers in 5 of the rooms and a large jacuzzi in the bed bathroom . the kitchen is very large and modern and there are two sitting rooms. There us a great DVD and video collection. And all the appliances are very modern. The gardens are amazing with loads of walk way and even a tree house to the front. You will definitely need a car to stay in this house as its a good drive from the town. But its worth it. You won't be disappointed!

It would be difficult to over praise this property. Its location is wonderful, the garden superb, the house very spacious and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony and watch the children playing in the garden. The area is ideal for families with children. There is so much to do without having to travel great distances. Mizen Head, the beach at Barley Cove, boat trips from Baltimore were particular highlights.
