Looking for somewhere to stay for a short pre-Christmas break with friends we booked Cross Beck Cottage and are glad we did! The cottage was perfect. It is very well appointed with everything you need and more. It is absolutely spotless, very clean and well maintained. The owners were friendly and live nearby in the unlikely event that there any problems. The location is great with a number of walks close by. The Bridge Inn, a stone's throw away, is very cosy and welcoming and serves good food and drink. We enjoyed our stay and when we revisit the area we will definitely be looking at staying here again.

An extremely well equipped and comfortable cottage for 4 . Very clean with all mod cons and excellent wifi. Two comfortable bedrooms and good bathrooms, one with bath and one with power shower. Beautiful views and very private, but with lovely villages and walks on the doorstep. Good information in the cottage about local area, including maps and useful information about facilities in the area.

Superb cottage for visitors to the Dales. Quiet location, yet near to village centre and Reeth for local amenities. Underfloor heating was effective, great for those colder days! Owners were charming and helpful but unobtrusive.

The cottage was first class and we love the area. We didn't feel the need to light the wood burner as the under floor heating was excellent. No slippers needed either!

Having stayed in several holiday cottages over the years, all purportedly of high standards, this was equal to the best and better than most. The owners were particularly welcoming and were keen to ensure an excellent stay, so thank you to them.

We had a wonderful time in Cross Beck Cottage. We have been holidaying in Swaledale for years and were so pleased to find this gem of a cottage. It was in a great location, with a lovely walled private garden, was clean, cosy and everything we could have possibly needed for a perfect family holiday, we will be back for sure.

Liked the high degree of thoughtful consideration that our hosts had put into the facilities, aiming to ensure that their guests wanted for nothing. The owners themselves were really nice people, very friendly.

Have stayed here twice now and can't praise it too highly. Superb accommodation, very tastefully decorated and with excellent facilities. The location is really peaceful but close to a great pub! The garden is great for sitting in when the weather is warm and there's a lovely log-burner for when it's cold. Perfect!

Cottage met all our needs, comfortable furniture and beds and tastefully decorated.

Rated by Mrs Whittle reviewed on 1st February 2015

Everything seemed to have been thought of, we didn't seem to be searching for anything as it was already there. A very well thought out cottage with lovely clean and modern décor. The owners were very welcoming and friendly without being overwhelming - we were left pretty much to our own devices in the knowledge that they were there if we needed anything. We would love to come and visit again.

Wow! Just the most perfect little cottage. Set in a stunning location with lovely views in the heart of the Yorkshire dales. We couldn't get over how quiet it was. The cottage is just beautiful, quirky and pristinely clean but with all the modern amenities you could possibly want. Just great, can't wait to return and put on the wood burner.

One of the best, if not the best, cottage we have ever rented on our Great Britain holidays during the last ten years! Superb cottage, everything was of a very high level. Very friendly and nice hosts. Highly recommended and we hope we will come back!

Rated by Mr Huber reviewed on 2nd November 2014

Wonderful detached character holiday cottage located in one of the most sought after area of the Dales. No question whatsoever, the owners have gone beyond the call of duty and thought of everything possible to present this cottage to the highest standard possible. Without doubt, we will be re-booking to stay in this cottage and will recommend it to all.

Rated by Mrs Piggott reviewed on 7th October 2014

The owners were lovely people, very welcoming. I certainly had a wow when showed the entrance to kitchen, lounge and dining area and out to the rear patio garden with views of sheep grazing behind a perfect stone wall. The upstairs was even more of a wow, hotel style and quality with even better views of the hills of Swaledale. The village of Reeth is near to walk to either by road, but better still by track and river Swale. It had everything of good quality you need; excellent pub food, tea shops and bakery. The cottage was better than Home from Home!

Rated by Mrs Bone reviewed on 20th September 2014

The cottage was beautiful; very clean and tidy and the owners made us welcome and, for our first visit to the Yorkshire Dales for many years, we could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Great holiday - lovely quiet location. Beautiful spot to see North Yorkshire. We took the bikes and had a wonderful time cycling between various villages and sampling teashops and country pubs. Also enjoyed cooked breakfast on the patio each day with the beautiful unspoilt view over the fields. A lovely spot for a family or romantic break.
