Reviews

We had the most wonderful time at this stunning cottage! The place is beautifully finished, and has kept its lovely authentic feel. The dog-friendly pub is a mile down the end of lane from the cottage, so a nice easy walk and there is a little shop attached that is like an Aladdins cave. All the locals were really friendly and welcoming. The rear yard where the hot tub is, is fully enclosed so our dogs could be out with us whilst we bathed, and it was very private and not overlooked. I would highly recommend taking wood with you, the shop has it for a good price but they did run out over the weekend. We found some fab walks right from the doorstep , meaning you can stop in the pub for a few drinks after and warm on their lovely fire. The hot tub is fantastic after a day walking, it did take us about 24 hours to get up to temp as it was pretty cold outside, we then just lit the fire in the morning and found it to be the right temperature in the evening. The cottage has great facilities, and everything you could want. We will Definitely be back. Ps. Take some bird seed to feed the stunning birds that you can watch from the windows. Bliss

Stayed at this beautiful cottage for a week. Interior is cosy, spotlessly clean with all amenities including a dish washer & washing machine. The dogs loved the big spacious garden and the long walks in the breathtaking countryside of shropshire. It was like a home from home & our week went far too quickly. The owner left us a delicious cake for our arrival which was a lovely personal touch. The pub and shop are within 10 minutes walking distance . The pub serves superb food, we dined there every day. We wanted a tranquile holiday, to get us away from the hustle & bustle of city life & thats exactly what we got. We came home totally refreshed. If like us you love your dogs like family and you want them to join you on your holiday, i highly recvomend this dog friendly holiday home. You and your dogs will love it.

We particularly liked being able to shut out the bad weather after a long walk with the dog and sitting listening to the wind and rain outside whilst being safe and warm inside. Very relaxing and unwinding

The cottage is in a wonderfully quiet setting, just what we were hoping for. A very well equipped cottage with lots of information leaflets of the local area. There were some amazing walks and sites locally. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

We loved the area and the location of The Wilderness, as the Shropshire hill walk was on your door step . Very peaceful and the local people were very friendly. Our dogs loved a run around the garden which is a little sun trap you get the sun all day .

By pure chance we found the perfect hideaway, in a beautiful setting. Peaceful and quiet with only the woodpeckers rapping now and then. We will be booking again for November. We had a perfect week and time passes much slower there.

Comfortable and homely, well equipped kitchen. I brought kindling and fire logs with me for a roaring wood burning stove, the lounge was cosy and warm. The bed was comfy, always a good night sleep.

The cottage was exactly as advertised and was a delightful place to stay for our 2 weeks. The house was presented very well and was very clean and tidy. The location was wonderfully peaceful & private, we immediately felt at home and very comfortable.

Such peace and quiet; and the wonderful garden with lots of wildlife only feet away from where you sat. The private courtyard was ideal for eating outdoors. A fantastic shower and the overall layout of cottage was perfect.
