Reviews

Having lived in the Dale for many years we were back to catch up with friends and re-acquaint ourselves with the beauty of Nidderdale. The cottage was warm and very nicely furnished. Everything that we could ask for was there. There was a great view to the rear and excellent pubs nearby, one within walking distance. All pubs had the appropriate Covid precautions in place so it felt like a very safe area to come to. Darley is well placed for local walks along the river and there is a plethora of attractions in the vicinity. Highly recommend Bumble Cottage and would love to come back in the future.

Stayed over the Christmas period . Cosy and clean with everything we needed. There is a very useful community shop in the village, with a good selection of fresh fruit and veg and other groceries. Only things I would comment on is that the second bedroom is a single, not a twin as described on trip adviser at time of writing and the washing machine only washes not dries, but these were not a problem for us.

The cottage is exactly as described and pictured. Its wonderful. Its a great location for travelling around to other tourist attractions, excellent walking around the local heritage trail. Has a fabulous village/community shop near the cricket pitch. Pub very close (not tested) We had the best weather so spent little time at the house but it was lovely to come home to. Fully equipped and comfortable really nicely done. We missed the Internet for planning our trips! The people around were SO friendly and the man next door really helpful. It was a really lovely holiday thank you

The cottage was glorious; very well-appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The woodburner in the sitting room was a delight. The local people in the village were all very friendly, especially the next door neighbours. The location is excellent for visiting Harrogate and the surrounding area.

Lovely cottage in a quiet village only a few miles from Harrogate, Skipton, Knaresborough and lots of other places. Superbly located to explore. The cottage itself is nicely furnished and sleeps a couple in a good size double bedroom, and a single in a small but cosy room. The kitchen is well-equipped with enough cutlery etc for four people, and there is a very nice wood burning stove in the living room - welcoming on a wet or cold day! The porch is ideal for taking off shoes or wellies before going inside, and hanging up coats or umbrellas. One well-behaved dog is welcome, although not upstairs, and there are plenty of walks to keep everyone fit, including climbing the rather steep stairs! Be aware that there is no back garden, and while the small front garden has seating, it's not really suitable for a barbecue. Also note that the local shop in the village closed recently, so make sure you pick up some essentials before arriving. The local watering-hole - The Wellington Inn - does excellent food in the restaurant or bar, and welcomes dogs too. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this holiday let to anyone who wants a comfortable base to explore the fantastic countryside.

The perfect cottage for my needs, plus the added advantage of the bus stop immediately outside the cottage as I was car-less for the week. A lovely place to stay and a beautiful cottage.

Liked the overall standard of the cottage and attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable and the instructions about the cottage were admirably brief and thorough. The owner was most helpful when we contacted her before our stay with a couple of queries. The cottage more than fulfilled our expectations. The village of Darley was ideally placed for exploring the area on foot or by car.

Great location in quiet village. Pub, local shop and Darley Mill all within walking distance. On bus route to Harrogate. Small cottage, well equipped kitchen, big bed, dog friendly. No back garden but sheep come and say hello at the window in the evening.
