The garden is lawned and has a small patio with furniture so you can sit outside and enjoy dining in the summer. A beautiful, stone-built end of terrace cottage located just a few hundred yards from the railway station on the outskirts of the pretty village of Clapham. The cottage is set in a delightful position overlooking the nearby meadows, and out towards the famous Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent. Full of character and charm, it provides an excellent getaway for a couple or small family wishing to explore this popular area. The cottage features a spacious kitchen/diner with modern shaker-style fittings and a centre island, making it a great room to relax and prepare sumptuous evening meals. There is handy storage space under the stairs, and the cosy sitting room is stylish and leads through to a pretty rear garden, an ideal spot to sit out and watch the world go by. The two bedrooms are comfortable and modern, one with a king-size bed and one a delightful twin bedroom, both served by a family bathroom where you can enjoy a revitalising soak in the tub after a day of walking. With the stunning Dales landscapes right on your doorstep, October Cottage is a great place to relax and enjoy country living, with the opportunity of riding the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway, which is just a short drive away. The busy village of Clapham is a 20-minute walk away, and Settle, Leeds, Skipton, Ribblehead, Dent, Garsdale and Appleby can easily be reached in the car or the railway line. The cycling and walking opportunities are endless and there are a number of country pubs and award-winning restaurants all within a short distance. The local farm shop is also just a mile away, selling organic vegetables and local produce, and also has a coffee shop. Ingleton is also well-worth a visit for its incredible scenery, impressive woodland waterfalls and stunning show caves. A great place to stay, whatever the time of year.

The communication from the owners was perfect. Upon arrival at the cottage we were pleasantly surprised by the size and cleanliness of the cottage, it has everything you need without all the clutter that some have. The beds have to be some of the comfiest I've slept in. Overall it is great base for exploring both Lancashire and Yorkshire by foot, car, bike or even train which is a minute walk away.
The cottage was SO clean, it was a privilege to stay. Although the weather was very wet, along with the rest of the country, the area was very beautiful with lots to see in all the local towns and villages.
It was a well equipped, lovely, cosy cottage in a beautiful location. We really appreciated the fenced in garden, which made it safe for our dog. Also the neighbours were lovely and friendly!
Excellent accommodation - ticked all the boxes. It was dog friendly and in a good location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
The cottage was clean and tidy, the attention to detail was very good with items provided for all weathers such as maps, games, magazines, books and DVD's. The beds were comfortable and the rear patio area is fenced off which is good if you have a dog. The cottage is well placed to the 3 peaks and sits between Kendal and Skipton.
