This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Brinks view and can highly recommend. The cottage is spotlessly clean ,everything you might possibly need and tastefully decorated .There are one or two thoughtful extras and an excellent welcome pack . The owners have a lovely doggy who pops round to visit and our dog enjoyed the garden and the walks .Such a peaceful relaxing place to stay .thankyou we enjoyed it so much

This cottage was the perfect getaway. We only stayed for 3 nights but it was a home away from home. Andy and Sarah (and Ellie the black lab!) were so lovely and accommodating, we will be back and staying longer next time! Pic of us leaving

We stayed there for 3 nights with our friends who booked the cottage. Fab hosts, amazing cottage which is clean and cosy! Lovely location whether you are wanting to walk or chill out. Would highly recommend! Thank you Andy & Sarah ( & gorgeous Ellie the pooch too!) X

A wonderful, cosy, 2 bedroomed cottage in the heart of Hope in the peak district. Everything you could possibly want and more. Immaculately clean, beautifully presented with magnificent views from the bedroom and garden over open hills. My only regret about our visit is that it was only for a long weekend, and not longer! Fantastic property for walking, cycling and exploring in the Peak District or just a superbly relaxing break. Spacious 'boot /utility room' meant snowy boots and wet coats can be left to dry if needed. The welcome basket of local 'treats' and a beautiful bottle of wine, along with toiletries in the bathroom were gratefully received. Dogs are welcome, but there was no 'doggy' odour for non dog lovers. I would have thought we were the first visitors if it hadn't been for the visitors book! We shall certainly be visiting again very soon!

The location was a perfect position for exploring the area and a nice quiet base to come back to after a busy day. The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped and we felt very at home there. The owners were very helpful and welcoming.

This was our third visit and it was excellent as always. It is a home away from home.

The Cottage was very clean, well furnished and well equipped with kitchen items, laundry facilities, bed and bath linen and comfortable furniture in the lounge/diner. Parking space too was really appreciated and the garden and scenery was nice too.

A spotless, immaculate and very comfortable Cottage. The owners were welcoming and helpful. There is a beautiful garden and the property is in a great location.

We booked this cottage having visited Hope some many many years ago. We were originally going to stay in Castleton but decided that Hope would better suit us as it's quieter. The cottage far exceeded our expectations and it's safe to say that the pictures truly do not do it justice, it is lovely inside. It has a fantastic utility room which is very roomy and warm so would be ideal for drying or storing wet gear, it's also fab for cleaning up the dog before she goes into the house! The kitchen is great, very well equipped with a full size freezer and everything you could need. Lovely lounge and dining area, cosy but perfectly adequate. Upstairs has a couple of bedrooms, size wise absolutely fine and a big bathroom. The garden is shared with the owners and their dog but its fully secure and they are a really helpful couple with Ellie the black lab often coming to say hello. We were left a welcome pack which was unexpected but very welcome, unusual to get this when going through a large company like Sykes but just another thoughtful touch from the owners. You can tell from the cleanliness and quality of this cottage that it's not just a holiday let but done with care and consideration. We spent a lot of time in the cottage which is unusual as we had a poorly dog and thank god we booked this cottage as it had wifi and was just down the road from the village with shops, pub and cafe. I have no hesitation recommending Brinks View and we will be returning as soon as we can.

The cottage far exceeded expectations in every way. The location was fabulous - in a little village but with enough amenities such as pubs, cafes, a deli and grocery store. The cottage was very well equipped and there was nothing we needed during the week. It was by far the best equipped and cleanest cottage, with a lovely garden with magnificent views too. The owners who live next door are lovely people, very helpful but not at all intrusive. I would have no doubts recommending this cottage and we are already planning to return. The pictures do not do the cottage justice in my opinion, it is far better in real life.

This was the best cottage we have stayed in, and an excellent area.

We had a fantastic holiday at Brinks View Cottage. The owners were extremely friendly. It was a very clean and well presented environment, with lovely homely touches to welcome us. The local walks were beautifully picturesque and the dog friendly cafes and pubs definitely made the holiday perfect for us.

Brinks View Cottage is beautiful and a really great place to come back to after a day in the hills. The garden is fantastic and offers wonderful views. The owner and their lovely dog share the fully enclosed garden, but they are basically friendly neighbors and are great for local info. The area has loads of easily accessible walks and there are maps provided in the cottage. A cottage that has it all.

Returned to Brinks View Cottage, as we were so impressed first time round with standard of accommodation and the welcome from our hosts. Great location for exploring the Peak District. Dog friendly.

Rated by Mr Sully reviewed on 28th February 2016

This cottage is a real gem and one of the best we have stayed in. The cottage is much bigger than any of the pictures show and finished to a high standard. The cottage was immaculately clean and the utility room is warm and spacious to allow any wet clothing to dry. The owners were very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and the location is quiet and perfect with are lots of walks close to the house so you don't have to take a car.

Rated by Mrs Cissell reviewed on 4th January 2016

The cottage was beautifully presented, a lot of thought had gone into this. Everything that could be needed had been supplied. It was warm and comfortable. The owners, who live in the attached property were very kind and pleasant people, but not intrusive in any way. I can thoroughly recommend this cottage.

We stayed here for 3 nights, we decided upon the cottage after having great difficulty finding dog friendly accommodation in nearby Castleton. To our absolute pleasure we discovered a little gem. Andrew and Sarah have made an outstanding job of renovating this cottage to a very high standard. The attention to detail is exceptional, from the pre prepared log burner , to pizza utensils, and tissues in the bedrooms. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. The village has a couple of traditional dog friendly pubs, serving real ales and great food, we visited the Old Hall hotel, which was lovely. Hope is a less touristy , quieter village than Catleton, however, it offers an attractive alternative location for the likes of Lady Bower / Derwent water and for Mam Tor. The dog had a fabulous and welcoming time. Don't be seduced by Castleton, this place is absolutely lovely ! We will be returning

A warm welcome and friendly and helpful hosts. Standard of accommodation was excellent throughout and we felt immediately comfortable. Great location for amenities and walks. We will come back again.

The Cottage is very clean, nicely decorated and exceptionally well-equipped. We have stayed in many cottages around the UK but rarely as good as this. On top of that it is located in a lovely village with local shops and a choice of good places to eat within easy walking distance. A lovely place from which to explore the Peak District, whether walking, cycling or touring by car.

Where do I start? The cottage was perfect, in a great location and with everything we could have possibly needed. The owners are a lovely couple and were always on hand to assist us. Their local knowledge was excellent and came in very handy. I would highly recommend this cottage to everybody and we will definitely be back!

Had a fantastic holiday here last week. Great location, great cottage, great owners. I would highly recommend this cottage to everybody. The only bad point i can think of would be that we had to come home. We will definitely stay here again :-)

Brinks View Cottage is a newly refurbished cottage, the inside decoration, cleanliness, and facilities were to an exceptionally high standard. The owners were very friendly and accessible to answer any questions we had. The location is perfect for exploring the many walks and outdoor activities in the local area. We stayed at the end of May, however the evenings were a bit cool for the time of the year so we all enjoyed sitting around the wood burner in the living room in the evenings. What an excellent holiday cottage, we will be returning and would have no concerns recommending Brinks View Cottage to family and friends.

The cottage is beautiful with everything you need to make your stay perfect. Thanks for making our stay one that we definitely want to repeat x

A fantastic holiday cottage, chosen for its central location to the surrounding attractions and excelled our expectations for comfortable living. A real home from home.

Rated by Mr Reaney reviewed on 12th April 2015

The cottage was perfect for us in every way but especially the way the owners helped us with maps, suggestions, guidance and a lovely dog for our dog to play with! The cottage itself was perfect and the gorgeous garden really added to the enjoyment of our stay.

Rated by Mr Coulbeck reviewed on 29th March 2015

The cottage was very beautiful and the owners could not have been more welcoming. We had a wonderful holiday and this was largely due to the fabulous accommodation. Nothing had been overlooked and our every comfort and convenience was catered for.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very well equipped and stylish cottage. Especially loved the large kitchen and utility room which was so useful when coming in with muddy boots and dog. The owners were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. They have certainly made the cottage feel so spacious and comfortable. Will definitely be visiting again and will be recommending to all our friends.
