Reviews

After over 3 months in lockdown due to Coronavirus pandemic this was a much needed change of scenery. Couldn't have found anything better! Cottage spotless, facilities brilliant, 3 acre paddock fantastic for my 2 small grandchildren and family dog. Need to return to visit surrounding areas without lockdown restrictions and hopefully get to know lovely owners. Thoroughly enjoyed the open space, views from the cottage and just the feeling of peace and tranquility after the preceding 3 months which have been so hard for us all.

Recently stayed in this idillic cottage for 1 week. Firstly I will say the photos do not do this place justice. Set in Crofton in the beautiful countryside. This Lovely cottage has a lovely big garden, and field attached to it so my children and dogs had loads of space to run around. The cottage its self is huge, it's very deceiving. The kitchen is a really good size and comes fully equipped with everything you need. They is a lovely big conservatory lounge dinner. A room with Two single beds a double bedroom, and a huge basement bedroom and ensuite bathroom. All rooms have Tv's to. There is a lovely canal with plenty of great walks and the locals are very friendly. It was so relaxing I didn't want to come home. The owners of the cottage we're great to and share the plot of land with the clockhouse and another cottage to. Definitely want to come back again.

Clock Tower Cottage is welcoming, clean and well stocked. Plenty of loo rolls, paper towels, basic cooking supplies, dish washing detergent etc. the kitchen has all the equipment you need for an easy meal. The sitting room is comfortable, light and airy; the beds are also good and comfy. Plenty of TVs and good wi-fi. The paddock is lovely and secure for dogs. The stairs down to the lower bedroom are a bit steep, but negotiable even for those who are not so agile. There is a laundry room with a newer washer and dryer. The villages nearby are true treats, showing the best of the English countryside. Best of all are hosts, Martin and Mary who are so accommodating, friendly and full of local info. We would most certainly come again.

What a lovely place! We arrived to a spotless and tidy house in a lovely setting overlooking fields. There is train track quite close by, but you hardly notice or hear it (very infrequent trains). The house is equipped with all mod-cons and has clean bed linen and towels provided. Even small things like toilet paper and cling film are there, which is a rarity. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a peaceful and relaxing break.

We were delighted to find on our arrival that the photos in the brochure did not do the cottage justice . It is fabulous

A superb cottage with a pleasant outlook and a paddock for the dogs. It was very near the canal footpath and there were lots of other walks available from the cottage. There was an excellent village shop and bakery nearby plus lots of pubs within easy reach.

I can honestly say that this is the best holiday property we have ever stayed in. There is everything in the cottage that you could ever want and more. The lower ground bedroom was perfect and very quiet. The very comfortable beds and warm bedding made us feel snugly at night. Five stars are not good enough.
