This delightful three-bedroom semi-detached property is set in the lovely village of Tatworth, just outside Chard, in Somerset near the Devon and West Dorset border. Perfect for families, 2 Wisteria Cottages provides spacious accommodation, with the ground floor comprising a dining room with an idyllic window seat and feature fireplace tucked into the layout. A selection of games are available in the dresser, perfect for the children to play, as you select one of the books from the shelf on a peaceful evening. Arriving into the kitchen, you will be greeted by a sense of charm; the room is centred by an AGA cooker, with the introduction of pastel décor and an authentic home-from-home experience. The lounge is equally as delightful; comfortable sofas rest in front of a woodburner which sits between a stone surround, and doors open up onto the charming enclosed patio garden, providing excellent space for a well-behaved dog or enjoying a barbecue together. Upstairs there are three pretty bedrooms, two double and one single, one roomy enough to accommodate a travel cot which can be provided as well as a highchair and stairgate. The quirky family bathroom finishes the property with a bath and stand up shower, as well as a characterful single exposed beam. Within easy driving distance lies the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, with the ever popular seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Beer and Charmouth less than 20 minutes away. To the east is Devon, where one can enjoy days out on the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with wonderful walking and scenery. Whatever you decide to do, 2 Wisteria Cottages is a haven to enjoy all that the three counties have to offer at any time of the year. The lit up cottage was a welcome sight after a long day driving from Brussels. Within minutes we had the wood burner lit, supper in the oven and the complimentary wine open and being enjoyed! Despite the grey, wet and miserable weather we had a lovely day in Lyme Regis just a short drive away. Plenty of lovely shops, a good choice of pubs or restaurants and a walk along the beach looking for fossils. The plentiful hot water was welcome on our return when all enjoyed baths. A night cosied up by the wood burner playing some the great selection of games. The cottage is beautifully decorated with some lovely personal touches such as the jar of dog treats our Labrador enjoyed.
Had the most fabulous stay at this traditional heart warming cottage. Beautifully decorated with plenty of room for everyone it immediately offers that home feeling with plenty of cozy to share around the minute you walk through the door. Perfect for sharing cooked suppers, enjoying the light evenings in the summer outdoors or getting warm and cozy with the stove in winter. Be woken by the clip clop of hooves as the horses pass by and the morning chorus of birds - all the sounds of the countryside. Everything you need is provided for you and on arrival the cottage was spotless with welcome treats for your furbaby making them feel at home too. Situated right on the Somerset border the south coast is a short trip away so really from a location perspective this cottage rocks. Highly recommend a stay here.
