Reviews

Stayed for a week, cottage well equipped, although some extra bedding would have came in handy as was very cold and wet but plenty heaters to pop on. Was wet and muddy for dog so summer would probably be better option if we were to rebook, however shower room ideal for washing them down. Our only grumble was the memory foam mattress which we found uncomfortable and didn't make for a good night's sleep. Views are lovely and if you're looking for seclusion and peace look no further.

We needed a get away to relax and that's exactly what we did. Totally isolated with nothing overlooking the property. Kept the doors open and let the dogs come and go as they pleased as there is a gate leading to the road and a field for them to roam. Local pub 10 minutes walk away, which was lovely. Hot tub was excellent even though we only used it once. Napton village is lovely with a post office/shop/cafe the centre of the community. Will look at booking again. It's just what was needed.

This cottage totally exceeded our expectations. Cosy, warm, welcoming with everything you could need. The woodburner was easy to light The heating was spot on The bed comfy The hot tub? Well, what can I say than we were in it on a daily basis Even a bowl ready for the dog Really looking forward to a return visit

The cottage is one bedbroom with a sofa bed upstairs. Whilst it is a lovely place to stay it's worth mentioning that the double bed has a memory foam mattress - which meant that we slept in the sofa bed upstairs so not exactly a relaxing week. The hot tub is so nice but it does make a noise when it gets below it's set temperature which did wake me up at times. The cottage isn't as remote as it appears in the photographs and the main road is at the end of the drive. We have friends who stay here every year who have dogs and they love the fact that the cottage garden is secure for the dogs to run around without escaping.

A brilliant cottage which was very cosy with great outside space and a hot tub. It was well stocked and had everything we needed, and was tastefully decorated and very clean.

I particularly liked the location and exterior was superb, especially hot tub and safety for our little dog. Also liked the fact we were completely undisturbed and felt the place was our own. Definitely considering a return visit.

The privacy was awesome, and the surrounding countryside. Even the rain didn't stop us going in the fabulous hot tub. The owners had thought of everything, you could have baked a cake had you wanted to, everything you could possibly need was there. It was clean and perfect, this cottage would be hard to beat.

It was beautiful and quiet, will recommend.

This small, beautifully appointed cottage is set amongst fields and is secluded and peaceful. It has a fenced in garden which makes it safe for little dogs and the hot tub is perfect for after a days walking. We saw hare nearby and a Red Kite sat in a tree nearby - both visible from the hot tub. Little touches such as tea and milk and some chocolates on arrival show that the owners really care about your stay. It was cold during the week but the cottage is warm even without lighting the wood burner. Walks along the nearby canal are easy and safe with two pubs on the way. The furthest, The Folly is 50 minutes away and had lovely pub food and a very friendly atmosphere. The Kings Head is a very short walk away and serves proper Gastro Pub food - you need to book it is so popular - but with none of the pretension that tends to be associated with "Gastro". Both pubs are dog friendly.

This cottage is an amazing little cottage based outside Napton on the Hill. This gives you the feeling of complete privacy whilst only being 5 minutes from a pub/ shop. We had an amazing stay over new year, the view are incredible and the log burner and hot tub are wonderful added bonuses. Watching the fireworks whilst in the hot tub on New Year was an unforgettable experience. The cottage is cosy and is extremely well equipped. We would definitely stay here again!

Owl Cottage is absolutely splendid. The furnishings are more than adequate, the setting idyllic, and the owner very cordial. The hot tub and wood burning stove were both magnificent, and lent a wonderful air of relaxation to the experience. I am very much looking forward to returning.

It didn't matter what the weather was like as the cottage was very comfortable and the owners had provided plenty to do, for example; baking equipment, DVD's, Books, Radio, Hot tub etc.

We were not disappointed, the cottage was absolutely stunning, it was everything we hoped for and more. The location, the log fire and the décor was perfect, the attention to detail was superb but the hot tub was the icing on the cake.
