This is the first time we've stayed at this BEAUTIFUL farmyard cottage but it DEFINITELY will not be the last. We've stayed in a lot of pet friendly places (we have a border collie) but this has to be one of the best. Mel & Paul are lovely down to earth owners. The cottage itself is fully equipped with everything you will need. We went to the local pub last night for a meal and we're going back again tonight it was that good and so reasonably priced. THANK YOU Mel & Paul. Love from Debs, Jonny & Whistle.

Just come back from a short break to this fantastic little find! What a lovely place, everything you could possibly need and more, the welcome pack was such a lovely touch and Melanie and Paul and their dogs were so friendly and welcoming. The local pub is also dog friendly and is only a 2 minute walk away with lovely home cooked food and pizzas at a very reasonable price. Can thoroughly recommend this place as it’s so handy location wise for so many different places to go for interesting days out. Will definitely be back!

The cottage was excellent in every respect, with great consideration to what guests might require. The owners were great, friendly and helpful, and even lent my husband a tie when he realised he had forgotten one.

I can not recommend The Byre, highly enough, as previous reviewers have stated I've stayed in many throughout the UK and this was by far the best, the owners live next door and are so friendly. A fabulous welcome pack awaited me on arrival, in addition there was fruit, milk, bread, butter and fabulous eggs from the very free range chickens that wander around! The fabulous utility room which isn't photographed, is a god send if you're traveling with a dog, it's huge and very well equipped. The whole place was absolutely spotless, and a real home from home with high quality furnishings and so much space. The photographs really don't do it justice. It's in such a peaceful location, on a very quiet lane, and the most noise all week was from the cockerel! I will most definitely return to The Byre, I shall be booking in again soon.

We loved our stay at The Byre, it is located on the outskirts of a small village which has a shop/post office and pub. The cottage was really well equipped with everything needed to make our stay a fantastic one. There are plenty of options for dog walks and also access to the owner's fields for the dogs to have a run around. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and would highly recommend a stay here.

You could not improve on this cottage. It was the best ever! The owners were so welcoming and helpful. The area was perfect.

The converted barn was in a perfect location if you want to get away from it all for a quiet chilled out break. We loved the décor and it felt very homely. The underfloor heating was perfect for a cold wintry weekend and the pub within a 1 minute walk served a gorgeous Sunday roast. Would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet weekend away.

The property was immaculate, spotless, & really central for us to get to anywhere we wanted to go. I would definitely recommend the property & the owner to anybody who would listen to me.

Having stayed in holiday cottages all over the country, I am delighted to say that The Byre was by far the best. The photographs on your website don't do it justice! The place is spacious, extremely comfortable and has an air of quality about it. The cottage is very well equipped in all areas, providing many extras that other cottages just don't have. On arrival it was also impeccably clean & tidy. As well as providing a luxurious environment, it is essentially practical for dog owners with a spacious utility room. The owner was both friendly and welcoming, she must be commended on providing such a beautiful holiday home. Her attention to detail is second to none. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Byre and will definitely be visiting again soon.
