Cant believe how disappointing this cottage was. Traveling with sister and friend. The 3 of us waited over an hour for owner to show up. We had sent an email letting her know we were on our way, and she said she never received it. Gave us directions to cottage and explained where extra keys were and color of the cottage door...green. we drove around for over an hour, still unable to find it. Asked several people and they obviously were unsure as well because we literally drove to the Atlantic. Went back to pub we were to meet her at, after calling again, and still waited for short period of time. She finally arrived and we followed her to cottage. If the whole process of finding place wasn't bad enough, we then entered the cottage. Smelled musty and dusty. She explained she wasn't sure if we were coming, (why??) So she didn't open up cottage to air out. Also commented how she normally had scones waiting for quests, but didn't have time to make any for us. But the best comment she made, and I quote, "I was worried what you would think of place beings your Americans". What does that mean??? Upsetting comment. Also, we noticed a spider hanging from ceiling and she proceeded to tell us they breed in the stone walls. Omg. I realize the cottage is 200 years old, but didn't expect to have visiting spiders during our stay. Which we did and one literally landed on friends arm after it crawled out of towel hanging in bathroom. So long story short, we had cottage rented for 5 nights, left after 3. Couldn't take the smell, spiders, dust and horrible smell of furniture. Went to store and bought Febreeze to eliminate odors so we had somewhere to sit in living room. Left for next renters because I know they will need it. Would feel owner should refund 2 nights back to us beings we had to fork out 2 nights at other places we hadn't planned on doing. Just not right we had to pay up front, but we are just out that money because place was not as represented. Renters beware... not the Irish cottage its cracked up to be. Upset "Americans".

Our family had a truly wonderful stay at An Nead. The cottage was lovely; clean, comfortable and welcoming. The views from the cottage are spectacular - the ocean, mountains, farms and sheep can all be seen from the cottage grounds and windows. The cottage contained lots of information on the local area for us to explore. Slea Head Drive is not to be missed! We enjoyed walking the nearby hiking trails and driving the short distance to town. Dingle is a lively, friendly place with pubs and shops. An Nead is an unforgettable place and we hope to visit again!

The cottage was fantastic. Very comfortable. The surrounding areas were amazing. You could see the Atlantic Ocean. I cannot say enough great things about the landlord. She made sure we felt at home, from the homemade cake, to allowing us to call her at anytime if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We had such a lovely stay at the cottage. The owner has made it incredibly warm and cosy. There is everything you could need and more provided; books, kitchen equipment, games etc. Its location is great for seeing the Dingle peninsular and it has been decorated to enhance its traditional character. Thank you.

A traditional stone cottage, which was beautifully located/isolated in beautiful landscape, which is just what we wanted. The scenery and landscape views wherever we went were amazing. Roads were very quiet so it was a perfect retreat from city life and traffic jams. Despite the rain, I don't think we could complain about anything relating to the holiday at all.

Out of the way for those who like piece and quiet but a reasonable distance from lively Dingle. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. Everything a large family needed was available. Owner very friendly and available if any concerns. Would definitely go back.

If you go one of the road towards the beach is just beautiful! I would advise to bring raining boots, so you can walk more comfortable. Everyone apologized for the weather, but we did not mind at all. We will come back! The cottage, exactly what we wanted. Everything perfect!
