This is the second time we as a group of about 13 ladies in our 50’s have been to Treetops and no doubt we will be back again! Everything about this place is perfect from the house itself to the views, swimming pool and hot tub. We love the kitchen with its spaciousness and spent a good deal of our time there drinking, eating, laughing and playing the tote! Lisa and Anthony are the perfect hosts where the communication is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend whether it be a large family gathering or friends out for a chill catch-up.

This is our 2nd visit here and once again we had a fantastic week. The heart of the property is definitely the kitchen/diner with the adjacent conservatory which adds extra space and a place to enjoy the sunsets. The lounge is a huge room with 3 pairs of sliding doors which gives you amazing views across the valley to sugar loaf mountain. Outside is a large covered pool with a hot tub nearby also has great views across the valley. Govilon is a pretty village with access to river and canal walks. A few miles away is the larger town of Abergavenny which is packed with good restaurants and independent shops. My only negative comment would be the comfort of the beds, the doubles in the ensuite rooms are small and could be better

We had a great family week with 16 of us at this amazing house! Treetops is brilliant. Spacious, comfortable, well-appointed rooms, lovely pool and hot-tub, great garden, and super location for the Brecon National Park. Many thanks!

11 of us stayed at Treetops and it was perfect for us all. The hot tub, pool and amenities were ideal for our needs. It’s so quiet and perfect for chilling out. The beds were very comfortable and everything we needed was considered and at the property. The little village pub is a short walk and a good little spot to enjoy a couple of drinks. Would happily go back there again.

A wonderful, spacious holiday house that easily accommodated, and provided everything that was needed for all 17 of us (Aged 5 to 69!) to spend a very special Xmas together. The pool, hot tub and 'Man cave' proved especially popular, as did the numerous extra rooms. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and the numerous cupboards and fridge easily housed the 'Tesco' food delivery. There was more than ample storage space in all of the bedrooms, and plenty of lovely white bedding and towels. Lisa and Anthony (owners) are amazing, both very approachable, and went out of their way to answer any queries we had. I cant wait to go back one day... Thank you x

11 of us stayed for three nights and it’s was perfect! The pool and jacuzzi were by far the best parts of this stay, even in November, and the reason we’d likely return! The house itself though was really big and spacious, especially the kitchen/dinning area and living room, perfect for big groups that want to cook and eat together. The nearby town also offers good pub, bars and shops which is a great benefit.

We had a great time at Treetops, we loved the hot tub and pool. Loads of places to spread out for all our age ranges. Owners very easily contactable and helpful. Lots of things to do in the area. Would recommend.

We had a great time at The tree tops house. The communication was super easy and quick with the host and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The hot tub and pool was definitely an added bonus. The neighbourhood is very quiet and there are so many beautiful places to see near by. I Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

Treetops is an amazingly spacious house, which meant that with 6 adults and 4 grandkids staying we all had peace and quiet. That is, when we weren't all enjoying the pool, the hot-tub and the barbeque! The location is excellent for walks, biking, canal boating (electric boats for hire) and a fairly short drive for a genuine steam engine experience. If you are into hiking, then the Sugarloaf is a must, but a fairly squeezy single-track road so drive carefully! You can even call in at the local vineyard on the way. Overall, Treetops is a great place to stay in a very attractive part of Wales.

We enjoyed a fabulous week in a beautiful home with a great location and views to die for. As the base for a celebration for our extended family Treetops would be hard to beat. As well as the obvious stunning walks in the nearby Brecon Beacons we enjoyed days in Brecon and at the Big Pit National Coal Museum, but mostly the kids couldn’t be dragged from the pool. Can’t wait to get back here

We had a fantastic week with the family at Treetops. A very spacious house that catered for us all. Beautiful surroundings and a short drive to the nearest town which was lovely to stroll around. The stand out was the pool which the kids absolutely loved! Made even better by the fact it was enclosed which was ideal when it was rainy. The hot tub was also lovely and relaxing and looked out over the beautiful views. A great house for a large group and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed at Treetops in June and had a wonderful time. It's a gorgeous property with lots of space and caters well for large groups. It's also quirky at the same time and has some lovely snug places when you are looking for some privacy. Highlights include the hot tub and the swimming pool but the outhouse with the comfy sofas and television also stands out. There are only 2 sun loungers so you'll have to use the supplied chairs and bench tables if you are looking to take in some sun. Please ensure any issues are reported to the owners so they are able to remediate at the time. The location in the Brecon Beacons is beautiful and we were treated to breath taking views from the balcony especially at sunset. The surrounding area allows for stunning morning and evening walks. Places we visited included the four waterfalls walk and a lovely walk from Keepers Pond to the top of the Blorenge mountain. In summary a beautiful property with fantastic client service from the owners, Lisa and Antony. They will ensure your stay is as perfect as it can be and their engagement is highly commended. Thanks to you both and hope to visit you again!

Despite dodgy weather our stay at Treetops was a great success! The peaceful quiet location belies the fact it is within walking distance of the village centre and Ocado had no problem getting up the steep narrow road with all our supplies. As a party of ten including four under-fives we appreciated the flexibility of the accommodation with bedrooms and bathrooms spread over three floors. Child stairgates were already in place. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was ample cutlery and tableware (could have done with some china cereal bowls). The living space is surprisingly large, with plenty of seating and a huge tv/dvd player. However, floors throughout are tiled or wooden - very practical and smart but results in a lot of noise, especially with small children! Treetops is ideal for a family holiday - walks and bike rides are on the doorstep and the large heated indoor pool is great. This is a really lovely part of Wales and Treetops is an excellent base from which to explore.

This house made the perfect get away for our large family. The house is lovely and with so much room we never got in each other’s way! Perfectly placed for the fittest of us to explore the beautiful countryside, eg. Sugar Loaf mountain and the four waterfall walk. But equally great for those or us who wanted a restful break, the conservatory made a great reading room and the pool and hot tub were wonderful and were in constant use! The owner, Lisa was very helpful and replied promptly to all my questions. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

We had a fabulous week at treetops. A family getaway that we all managed to get to! The room sizes are very all good The children could not get enough of the swimming pool and hot tub which were clean and inviting, The pool could be locked and the keys kept out of reach the children which made the area very safe. The little pool room is equipped with seating and a tv and was very popular with us all, although especially popular to our teenagers. The kitchen size and large table along with the additional dining area with table to the side of the kitchen, which our little ones used for games and crafts, was so lovely most of us sat there in the evenings without the need for the TVs. Lisa was professional and had a positive approach to problem solving, The location is stunning for those of us that enjoy rural landscape and we would definitely return to treetops if ever the opportunity for us all to get together comes round again.

Great location close to shops and lots of walks, also only a 45 minute drive to Cardiff. Super house filled with spacious rooms, clean bathrooms and a wonderful kitchen. The views from the balconies are stunning. The outside area is very pleasant and enclosed, with the pool and hot tub being one of the highlights of our holiday. Lisa the owner replied to any queries very quickly as well. I would highly recommend!

What a lovely home! So spacious. So well appointed. Enough of everything from spoons to large dishes. Fab sized fridge/freezer with very handy chilled bottles drawer! The hot tub and covered swimming were used a lot. Ours was a large family get together with a wide range of ages from 8 to 71 but filled our criteria for great get away house. Thank you Lisa and Anthony

Rated by Ourfu reviewed on 16th June 2019

Peaceful location above the village within a short drive of Abergavenny and local attractions. We had an enjoyable stay enhanced by the fully covered swimming pool (not obvious from the photographs that it's fully enclosed) and the sunny conservatory. The children loved the separate garden conservatory that they used as their own space! Good mixture of beds for our family group with a mix of doubles and twin rooms which suited us well. Owner quickly responded to emails whenever we had an issue. No deductions from the Bond at all (but no inventory at the property on arrival). Reasonably clean premises and all towels and bedlinen good quality. Kitchen items could do with an upgrade but otherwise facilities were generally good. A few lightbulbs and batteries needed attention but nothing that seriously inconvenienced us. It was a well-maintained and spacious property which we enjoyed using.

Rated by Richard M reviewed on 5th June 2019

Treetops is set in a beautiful location, and with a swimming pool and hot tub we were looking forward to a treat. However, the house itself needs a deep clean. Crumbs inside the sofa, dirty kitchen drawers and the bin lids were absolutely filthy. The garden also needs weeding and the decking could do with a deep clean too. It's a shame as the property is lovely, but it does need some attention paying to it. The boiler let out an awful screeching noise most of the time ( which affected the quality of sleep of our party). When we looked at it, it clearly said the annual service was overdue. Surely this is a safety issue?.

We booked Treetops for a family get together with adults and children ranging from 2 to 13. The cottage was clean, extremely spacious and very well equipped. Everyone had an amazing time both in the cottage and especially outside using the fabulous pool, hot tub and garden areas for games. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

17 of us stayed here for my 30th birthday over a weekend in the beginning of March. Sadly it rained all weekend but that didn't stop us enjoying ourselves and walking up the Brecon beacons! The pool and hottub were great fun and enjoyed by all. We cooked numerous times in the kitchen and it fitted all of us in and it was well equipped. There was some lovely walks near by and we found some little pubs which are worth a visit. I was a little apprehensive on booking as some of the reviews mentioned they didn't get their bond deposit back but we had no problems with this at all and the whole process of booking and communication with owner was perfect. She explained that the sat nav will not get you the .... Listen to this advice! It's hard to find. Anyway I Would visit again as I imagine on a sunny weekend this place would be even better!

Rated by Sophs1389 reviewed on 31st March 2019

House is good, pool and hot tub are great. As mentioned in previous reviews, we also had issues with our security bond. We were sent photos of linen prior to being washed and were told we were being charged £50 for stains that would not come out despite not yet being washed. When we questioned this, we were also accused of smashing a glass and leaving glass in the living area (not likely as we had 3 babies crawling around). Some linen photos we were sent were barely marked, perhaps a tiny smudge from sleeping. There are passive aggressive notes all over the house. I would not recommend staying here to anyone unless you’re happy to part with your bond money.

We had a lovely family get together at Treetops. It is situated in a lovely area with plenty to do. We had a lovely walk along the canal and then down to the pub for a bar meal. The house itself is ideal for a large family gathering. It is very well equipped with a large kitchen with all the necessary equipment. There are two large dining tables, one for the adults and one for the children. The bedrooms are light and airy and everywhere is nice and clean. The children especially loved the swimming pool and the adults thought the hot tub was fantastic. A lovely place to stay.We hope to return in the near future. S

We had a lovely long weekend at Treetops for a family gathering. There is plenty of space for everyone to be together in the kitchen / dining area, but also for people to have peace and quiet if required in other parts of the house. We made full use of the swimming pool and hot tub, despite the December weather! The view from the hot tub over the village and valley below is delightful. We had a couple of nice walks from the house into the village and along the canal and cycle path.

I stayed at Treetops for a long weekend for my hen party with 14 other ladies! The house, location, pool and hot tub were all amazing! The house was clean and tidy when we arrived with everything we needed to make our stay super easy. We cooked 2 nights in the ample size kitchen.. and there was plenty of cutlery, plates etc. And having a dishwasher helped a lot too! There's also a number of takeaways who deliver which we used on night 3. For me the best thing about this house is the size.. there's some great communal areas in the lounge and kitchen .. but also so cosy areas where you can get away and relax! Perfect for any group! I now need an excuse to come back!!

Had a fantastic time here, very much child friendly, all precautions have been taken to ensure the children come to no harm, made the stay more enjoyable & relaxing not having to worry to much about the children hurting themselves. Cottage was fully equipped for all your needs. Local pub meals where faultless, for us all 16 of us, local place to visit has got to be the Big pit, & very moving. ( & it's free to get in ) & a cheese shop in the same town, Over all you won't be disappointed. Many thanks to Lisa, & Anthony Hicks.

My Mum booked the house for her 70th birthday for a week, this is probably our 15th year away together as a family . The house was very spacious for all 14 of us, particularly with the bad weather we encountered, which meant we were home bound more than we normally would be . Pool and hot tub were great. Unfortunately the bond issue came up around linen which really ruined the experience for my mum . Not once in those 15 years away together have we had part of a bond held back (home and abroad) and the house was not particularly clean when we moved in. Would not recommend the stay based on our experience and other reviews.

We spent 3 nights in Treetops celebrating mine and my wife’s 50th Birthday, as soon as we walked in we knew we were in for a good time, the rooms were all good sizes comfortable and clean, we made good use of everything the kitchen was used to its max as one of our friends who loves to cook and had everything he needed to feed seventeen of us morning, noon and night. I don’t think the hot tub and pool was ever empty, and the younger members loved the man cave. There was plenty of instructions around the house to help you to have great stay, and plenty of pool towels for all the guests to use. We didn’t really leave the house only to stock up on some food items. The views from all over the house were breathtaking and I’ve got to say that we had a Birthday weekend that me and my wife will never forget. We had good contact with the owners who were very helpful and had our full bond refunded with no problems, we are hoping to return again next.

Treetops has the potential to be a lovely place but the owners let it down. Firstly the heating is restricted to 3 time a day and is off all night, not a problem during the summer months but we went in december! the owners said that there is a log burner and a oil filled radiator. I don't think we were going to keep putting wood on a fire all night long! The oil radiator did nothing!. The tumble dryer was broken, water dripping from a ceiling and a slat broken in the bed all of which i have pictures of. We contacted the owner but nothing was done. We would have let all of this go if it wasn't for the owner taking a large part of our deposit off us. They charged us for extra cleaning time as we apparently left the property so dirty which simply is NOT true. Then also took money off for a microwave plate we apparently chipped, they have an inventory but we didn't get one on arrival! They charged us for bedding, pillow cases and towels that apparently they were not able to get stains out of! Interesting that the choose to use bright white towels! they sent us pictures before they were laundered? But not after? I would not recommend staying here to anyone

Rated by Esther B reviewed on 18th December 2017

Ideal for our large family group celebrating a 70th birthday. However we had an issue with the bond - you have to deposit £400. The owner has sent a list of deductions including for 7 missing teaspoons and some jars none of the 10 adults saw. There was no inventory when we checked in. Refused to send us before and after copies. Refused to answer further emails because "too much time spent on this". Some of our party have suggested it is a way of supplementing rental income, I couldn't possibly comment.

Located in a quiet village next to the Brecon Abergavenny Canal. This bungalow has 7 bedrooms along with several other rooms to accommodate a large family. There is also plenty of parking spaces along with good security of electric gates. There is a Tesco, Lidl and Waitrose supermarket in nearby Abergavenny town and a small shop in Govilon for your daily papers and bread. Tafarn a Bont is a friendly village pub serving food. The house has a modern kitchen with a dishwasher. The main attraction for kids were the swimming pool and hot tub. There was also a Man Cave next to the hot tub with a tv. Washroom towels and pool towels are provided. An ideal base for a large family to discover this beautiful part of Wales. I would recommend visiting Big Pit, Abergavenny Market and hiring a boat to experience the nearby canal. When we complained of a smell around the pool area, the owner immediately arranged for an engineer to sort out the problem fair play. There is a convenient foot path from the property to the village. Although it was a bit overgrown, it was still quite a handy short cut.

TreeTops is perfect for get togethers with family and friends. Having just spent a week here it's got something for everyone. Kids in the heated covered pool all day and adults in the hot tub or man cave. Loads of space if you want quiet time and lovely bedrooms and bathrooms for your comfort. Excellent location and aptly named as surrounded by tree tops.
