Reviews

This cottage has it all-comfortable, quiet, very clean, ideally located with everything you would ever need. From the tasty welcome treats to our last walk on the nearby beach, we had a wonderful holiday at Corner Cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and could not fault anything. It is one of the best places we have stayed and we have been on self catering holidays for many years. The owners have thought of absolutely everything and it really was a home from home. We found the guide books especially useful and could not believe the amount of books there were at the cottage.

This is the best cottage we have stayed in, and we have been renting cottages for 25 years. 'If Carlsberg made cottages', need I say more..

My wife, myself and our dog recently holidayed in Northumberland for the first time and were delighted when we opened the door to this lovely cottage. The overall presentation of the cottage could not be faulted; fresh and bright decoration throughout, stylish and new furniture with a great kitchen. It has a very homely feel to it with lots of books, boardgames, DVDs and a great log burner for the colder evenings. It is the best cottage we have ever stayed in after 30 years of renting cottages in England and Wales. The garden at the rear was great for sitting in the sunshine with a cup of tea, watching the local birds, and the separate enclosed grass area was perfect for the dog. The hamlet where it is situated is really quiet, only 15 minutes walk to a great beach but is still just a short drive to Alnwick, Warkworth and other locations to visit in the area. We would not hesitate to return there in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to holiday in the area.

(Not forgetting the dog treats, dog bowls and blanket left for the dog!). Just returned from a week at the lovely Corner Cottage. A beautiful property, in an excellent spot, we were welcomed with fresh cut flowers, home made cake and a bottle of wine. We brought our little dog who loved the beach that is less than a 10 minute walk away. Ideally positioned to visit any of the many places of interest Northumberland has to offer, we had a fantastic time. Coming back to such a pretty and cosy place was such a treat. We'll definitely be back

I spent a week at Corner Cottage in April, and I'd rate this as the loveliest cottage I've ever stayed in. Beautifully furnished, with wonderful detailing. Immaculately clean and very well equipped, everything felt (and often was) brand new. We were welcomed with fresh flowers, homemade cake and wine which was a really nice touch. I'd definitely return, hopefully soon!

Lovely cottage well stocked with lots of extras not normally supplied in a holiday cottage. The location is perfect to explore the wonderful coast and surrounding national park, close to Amble which has good places to eat and shops. The cottage is perfect for couple with dogs and the walk to Amble links is a perfect way to start or end your day. Would definitely recommend this property.

Corner cottage is the perfect spot for either chilling out and spending time on the nearby beach or exploring the castles, bays and other interesting places in Northumberland. The cottage is stunning, lovely modern deco, but still retains the charm of a cottage, well equipped and very comfortable. The small attention to detail, makes you feel welcome the minute you step through the door. Even our little mutt had a small welcome gift!. I would highly recommend this lovley place as a perfect get away. It may have been a cold week in February for a quick holiday, but the cottage is lovely warm 'home' to come back to at the end of a day's exploits. We had a lovely week. X

Corner Cottage had a lovely modern inside but also retained the character of the cottage. The décor was well thought out with simple, well placed artwork. The furnishings were extremely comfortable, as was the whole cottage. The cottage garden was very pretty and definitely dog proof. Our pooch really loved it. Well located for visiting many lovely places throughout Northumberland. The owners made us very welcome. We loved our time there and would definitely recommend Corner Cottage to all.

Corner Cottage is an absolute delight. It is modern inside but definitely retains all the charms a cottage should have. All amenities are available within the beautifully decorated and furnished rooms. It is very comfortable with a wonderful wood burning stove for those chilly nights. The kitchen is well equipped with every conceivable pan, dish etc that you may need. There is a lovely cottage garden which is dog proof against escape! The location could not be better with the beach and sand dunes only half a mile walk away (even quicker by car). There is a good coast road which takes you to Amble. Alnwick and all points north. Corner cottage is definitely worth coming to and I would recommend it to all.

One word sums this cottage up "PERFECT". We have just returned from 3 nights at the "Corner Cottage" and we were blown away by the quality of the interior and the attention to detail offered at the property, From the moment we walked through the door we were struck by the clean fresh decoration and lovely interior design touches. Everything is colour corrdinated and the cottage boasts contemporary prints on the walls and well stocked bookcases. The cottage was warm and cosy and there was plenty of wood for the stove. Our dog (Harvey) appreciated the complimentry doggy treats as much as we appeciated the delicious home made lemon drizzle cake and the bottle of prosecco that had been left by the owner to make our first evening extremely enjoyable. On top of all this, the location is wonderful. The cottage is situated in beautiful contryside and is just a 1/4 mile from some lovely sandy beaches. We really enjoyed our stay - thank you!

Just back from our lovely weekend stay at Corner Cottage. A superb cottage with everything you could need for a home away from home .Everything thought of with visitors in mind . We took our two little dogs who were also catered for and they settled we very well too. Ideally situated for amble without being in the middle of it .We would love a trip back in the summer so that we could make use of the lovely little garden too . PERFECT XXXXX
