Reviews

Welsh-Swedish-English family spent an absolutely fabulous week in Caeau Mawr. We visit north Wales every year and this time we rented this beautiful place. There were ten of us, six adults and four children, ranging from two to seven and there was plenty of room for us all. The house is really modern and well equipped. In the garden you find swings and a football goal to the children’s great delight. There is plenty of room for several cars. We had three, but there was room for more. The view from the house was spectacular, like a painting overlooking the Clwydian mountain range and the village of Henllan. Very convenient for day trips to both the coast and the mountains. We most certainly would like to stay in this house again and highly recommend it.

Four couples stayed here for a 40th birthday, the house had everything you need, all 4 bedrooms were excellent and a good size, the living/kitchen space was more than ample for all 8 of us and the hot tub was a huge hit! The friendly pub was a ten-12 minute walk and served good food. Perfectly located on the doorstep of North Wales. Highly recommend!

Oversight made in booking and agent was less than helpful, host was downright ignorant. The place is nice, cosy, even modern in some parts, it is not luxury. Stayed in a number of cottages at a similar price point in better locations, at a higher standard and with much better hosts.

Beautiful modern and cosy house. Owners where friendly and greeted us there on arrival with a bottle of wine and homemade cakes! Went for the weekend with four couples and couldn’t fault any of the rooms. The hot tub was great and beautifully situated looking out to a fantastic view. Will definitely be booking to go back again!

We stayed here at the beginning of June 2018. We couldn't have been more impressed. 5 of us stayed in the house which is fully equipped and immaculately finished. We had a very warm welcome from the owners and their very friendly dog. The outside area is wonderful and a great place to relax with beautiful views. The hot tub is very clean and a perfect place to sit day or night with a glass of fizz in hand. We can't wait to go back!! I can highly recommend.

I have just returned from a lovely weekend at Caeau Mawr with friends. We have hired many holiday homes for such breaks in the past and this was by far the best. From being greeted with wine and homemade cakes, to the cleanliness and design of the whole house and surrounding areas we were all over whelmed with how amazing this property is. The views are stunning and the local pub was very homely. Would definitely visit again and highly recommended to all. Thank you for the perfect setting for a great weekend.

We stayed here as a group of friends for the weekend and had a lovely time! The house is beautiful, well presented and the views are just as beautiful. The owners left us some milk, delicious chocolate cupcakes, pizza and ice-creams which was a lovely touch. The place was clean, well decorated and finished to a good standard. The hot tub was lovely to help relax in the evenings and was welcomed by us all! The house is located in a fab rural location but is not far from local activities and shops etc. We managed to visit Snowdon,The Caverns and Titan etc. with around an hours drive. The driving instructions to the property were very welcomed as our Sat nav decided to loose signal during our journey there. There were a few minor things that we feel could improve the property/experience, but we will email these directly to the owners as they are only recommendations (we forgot to fill in the recommendations form :) We have all said we would definitely visit again and highly recommend to our friends/family :)

We have just returned from a fabulous week in this superb property, and are already planning our return. We were greeted by the very friendly owners and shown around the property.. The house has been renovated to a very high standard, and was very well equipped. The views were breathtaking (especially from the hot tub on an evening) and the outdoor space, with the large grass area with swings and footall net was excellent for the children to play in. We feel that this property is ideally located for visiting the surrounding areas, and would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing break in North Wales
