Next to the patio is a large garage, which offers a space to park your car, along with providing bike storage. Hawes is a real gem of the Yorkshire Dales, a stone-built market town with excellent pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and a very good selection of shops. Visitor attractions include a working rope maker, the Dales Countryside Museum and the much publicised Gayle Mill. The surrounding Upper Wensleydale scenery is absolutely stunning, some of the finest on offer in all the Yorkshire Dales and is renowned as one of the finest walking areas in the country. A highlight would be taking a stroll alongside the River Ure at nearby Aysgarth Falls or going slightly further afield to the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks. The market towns of Settle, Leyburn and Richmond are a short drive away, whilst Semerwater and Hardraw Force, England's highest single drop waterfall, are all nearby. A delightful cottage from which to explore Wensleydale, Swaledale and beyond.

The popular market town of Hawes within the Yorkshire Dales National Park has much to offer. There's walking routes from the town, with the Hawes Town Trail, Millennium Walk, Pennine Way and walks along the River Ure. Reviews

Lovely, warm and comfortable cottage right in the middle of Hawes. Very clean bedding and towels included. Would definitely stay again. If I had a suggestion for improvement, it would that the kitchen needs at upgrade. That being said, the kitchen is useable and practical. Hawes is a beautiful village in a prime location to explore the Dales.

My Husband and I stayed in October 2016 with our little Jack Russell and really enjoyed it, This was sadly our last holiday together, as my Husband died suddenly in April, 2017. It was his wish for his ashes to be scattered in Hawes, therefore I requested a booking for September 2018, but found that this cottage was no longer pet friendly. I messaged and asked whether, seeing as we'd stayed with our dog once before, they would make an exception, but I never even received the courtesy of a reply, which I feel is very poor customer relations.Needless to say I have now booked elsewhere in Hawes!

Came home yesterday after a wonderful stay at Rockville. When we first walked in it was far more than expected. The living room was perfect with its open fire. The dining room was lovely. The whole downstairs had just had new carpets laid and the sofa's were also new.The owner was lovely and showed us around. We have a dog so the patio area was perfect for her. To us it was so warm snd cosy. Infact we have made enquiries to stay there again next year. The views from back of the cottage are breathtaking, the runningwater and the waterfalls are amazing.Everyone in the shops and pubs are so friendly. Plus the cottage is central to anywhere you would like to go. Aysgarth, Ingleton. Most places are within an hour away. Thank you for such a lovely place to stay and we definitely WILL be back next year.
