There is a family bathroom on the ground floor. The rest of the property contains an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with multi-fuel stove. There is an additional sitting area (seats 5) with an open fire, a conservatory, a utility and a games room with pool table, table football, table tennis and mountain bikes. To the outside of the property there is ample off road parking and a front enclosed lawned garden and rear patio with furniture and barbecue. A Country View Cottage is a spacious property ideal for families or groups of friends looking to explore this lovely part of the Emerald Isle.

Location Details
Athenry is a medieval heritage town in County Galway in the west of Ireland. The town's charter was granted in 1235 and has town walls dating from 1310, of which approximately two thirds still remain. Athenry Castle dates from the 13th century and retains a three storey tower which now houses an exhibition area. The town has an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants and is home to Athenry Golf Club. The city of Galway is just 15 miles away and has a large selection of attractions and is regarded as one of the best tourist destinations in Europe. The coastline and beaches of the west of Ireland are just a short drive away, making Athenry a superb holiday destination for touring this beautiful part of Ireland.
Towering cliffs stand next to vast stretches of golden sand, whilst vast mountain ranges cradle cool, low-lying lakes. The Galway region epitomises the term 'great outdoors'; with fantastic walking and cycling and exhilarating water sports

9 of us enjoyed a week in this house and loved every minute. Spotless, spacious, modern and cosy -just perfect for our family holiday. John was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. Situated in beautiful Irish countryside with fantastic views yet close to villages and towns. We experienced all Galway had to offer and will be booking again. Supermarkets are close by so we could really relax in the house. All bedrooms are large and the garden was perfect for relaxing. Perfect.
Stayed here for 2 weeks with work, the house is stunning and finished to the highest standard! Originally only booked one week but quickly booked the second week after settling into this home from home. John is not only very helpful but also a genuinely nice bloke if you get to meet him. Will be booking this annually when in the area
Such a great place to stay with lots of activities to do whilst stuck inside, was clean tidy and well maintained . John was extremely friendly and the location is simply stunning. Coming back next time I’m in the area that’s for sure. The extras are just worth it, had a great time there.

We were a party of 7 adults and 5 kids & stayed here start of july 2020. we had a great week even though the weather was awful! .... the house is huge and there was plenty of room for everyone, the place was spotless and the beds were very comfortable, it provides all the comforts of home and the owner is on hand at all times if we needed him, beautiful outdoor seating area and garden for the kids to run around, would definitely recommend!
Absolutely loved our week away at this property. Owner John was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Recommended most of the places we visited whilst there. Very clean and spacious. 2 big family rooms too which was perfect for us. Would certainly recommend.
The house was outfitted to a great standard and my interactions with the owner were brilliant. The location is fantastic with amazing views and good access to local towns Athenry and Oranmore, with Galway being just a little bit further.
This is a lovely spacious house with comfortable furnishings and lovely views. The owner was welcoming and very helpful indeed. It is an excellent base for exploring County Galway by car. Our family had a truly memorable holiday at Countryside View.
