Reviews

Our 5th visit to Heather Corner and I can honestly say it is a lovely, cosy, well equipped and spotlessly clean cottage. Everything you could possibly need is within a short stroll so you can park your car and leave until your going home in the private driveway . Which is a rarity in Haworth. Even though we have been going for a number of years Laura the owner goes out of her way to give advice on where to go and updates us on any changes within the village. You can tell the cottage means a lot to all the family (Laura, Gary, Fraiser and also Laura’s sister Tracey ) who now helps out to keep the cottage up to the high standards that they and all their guests like. The beds are really comfy and all bedding and towels are all clean and fresh. All pots , pans, crockery and utensils are always plentiful and clean. Laura always goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are happy and comfortable. She even leaves a top quality welcome pack for her guests which always goes down a treat. The cottage is always decorated to suit each season (halloween) which is another little extra which she takes time to do for the benefit of her guests. Safety also comes first with Laura which shows with the lovely new front fire door and safety lights she has just had fitted on the stairs. We seriously cannot thank you enough Laura for your caring, kind and friendly nature. There are lots of top class places to eat and drink in a Haworth but if you just fancy a cosy night in with a bottle of wine and some cheese and crackers then Heather Corner is the place to stay. Thanks again Laura, Gary and Fraser( and Tracey) Jan, Dave, Sid and Carol Ps keep up the good your doing an amazing job

We were told to arrive by 11am yet we're not greeted until 1 pm - 2 hours late. Apparently the family running this place had a 'crisis'. When they did turn up to hand us the keys for our week stay (no spare set of keys) we noticed soil or mud beneath the bin and what looked like crumbs swept under the carpet and settee, the beds were full of hair despite the no pet policy and blood stains on some of the towels. Some light bulbs didn't work which we had to replace ourselves and the central heating is more like air conditioning in that it doesn't have the desired effect. Lastly, this place is full to the rafters of rules like no smoking and to only use certain taps at any one time and the rude owners. This will be our last visit.

We have just returned from a weekend stay at Heather Cottage and it is an amazing cottage which I would highly recommend. Clean, comfortable, Laura the owner was lovely and literally a stones throw from the main street.

This lovely cottage has everything you need and more! Renovated from top to bottom and everything such a high standard, thoughtful little extras really set it apart from other places I've stayed. The village has a charming community feel and the surrounding area is a stunning example of Yorkshire Dales beauty. Highly recommended!

My partner and I spent a week in this cottage. We had a great week and Haworth is a beautiful, very picturesque place. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's also very central in that it's situated at the bottom of the main street where you will will find lots of bars, restaurants and gift shops. There is also a Spar down the road through the park. Laura and Gary the owners were very helpful and approachable, paid a lot of attention to detail, and we felt we could contact them about anything, should we need to. Haworth is central to a lot of places. We tended to steer clear of cities or big towns during this time in order to stay safe, and we spent time in Haworth and small places nearby e..g Hebden Bridge, which is a lovely place. We also visited Skipton and we did the walk to the Bronte waterfalls and Wuthering Heights, which was fantastic although walking poles are helpful for some parts. We found that there is a very rigorous and strict approach amongst all the establishments we went to - pubs, restaurants and shops- to minimise any covid risk and we found this very reassuring. Not all amenties are open e.g. the Bronte Parsonage but this did not detract from our positive experience. It's just an ideal place to spend a lovely, chilled week and we enjoyed sitting in our cottage and relaxing out at the back. Finally, the Yorkshire people are just the nicest, so friendly and helpful!

This cottage in the beautiful village of Haworth is absolutely gorgeous and has been lovingly decorated and furnished. Many extras that make it truly a home from home. This is a lovely end of terrace cottage which has been completely refurbished and modernised. We found everything to be excellent. It has everything you could ask for in a holiday let property and benefits from its own car parking space for peace of mind parking. No car is required to walk to the main cobbled street and other attractions of this quaint and historic area. This is an excellent place to stay and use as your base to investigate the town and surrounding area.

Our stay at Heather Cottage was amazing from start to finish. We were met by owner Gary who was very friendly and showed us around the cottage and gave us local information. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and is cozy with character. We have stayed in Haworth on a few occasions but I must say this is by far the best for being homely, clean, value for money and it has parking big bonus in Haworth. On arrival there is a lovely welcome pack which we made good use of sitting outside on the bistro set drinking wine and eating chocolates on a lovely October evening . ( yes sat outside in October ) we had beautiful weather as well. The cottage is a real credit to the owners who even messaged us on our return home . Thankyou again so much for letting us rent your beautiful lcottage with class. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends.

We had a wonderful week at Heather Cottage. Laura and Fraser were waiting for us and we received a terrific welcome. The cottage is ultra-comfortable and very well equipped The off street parking is a real bonus. Lots of attention to detail shown by the little things: an umbrella in the hall, torches in the bedside cabinets, small supply of washing tabs for the Washing machine. The beds were very comfortable and linens good quality. The household manual tells you all you need to know and there are plenty of leaflets about things to do, places to go and walks to take. Main Street is a minute away, there are plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. Our favourite was the Fleece Inn. On Sundays the Kings Arms have an Open Mike night from 6-9pm, the performers were all very good. We ate out most nights but if you’re planning to cook you’ll find everything you might need in the kitchen. We took a trip on the Keighley and Worth Steam Railway. The steam engines are great and what you go there for, but catch the diesel if you can as well. We’ve never been in that type of train, it’s a bit like an older version of Docklands Railway in London but with a driver. The historic carriages in the Carriage Works at Ingrow are very interesting. It is really worth the walk up the hill to visit the Bronte Parsonage, especially in the snow as we did. If you’ve seen ‘To Walk Invisible’ you’ll recognise some of the features in the house. If not I recommend you watch it and you may find a copy back at the Cottage. Laura, Gary and Fraser will be able to tell you something about the filming of it as well. Unfortunately snow put paid to our plans to walk to the Bronte Bridge and Top Withens, but we’ve got an excuse to come back, not that we needed one! We couldn’t have had better hosts. Thank you so much to Laura, Gary and Fraser for making our stay so memorable, for the Wine, Chocolates and Gift, kindly letting us stay the extra night so we could drive home safely and clearing the snow from the road outside the cottage. If you want to stay in a fantastic cottage, in a lovely village with terrific hosts this is the cottage for you.

Our stay at Heather Corner was a wedding present which we finally found 3 days together in January to be able to go away to! A cold January isn't everyone's ideal honeymoon, but for us it was perfect, A long looked forward to rest. Heather Corner felt like home from the moment we walked in through the door. It was warm, cosy and welcoming. The whole cottage is equipped to a high standard with every need catered for. We had a bottle of wine and some delicious chocolates to enjoy, courtesy of Gary Laura and Fraser. Gary greeted us and ran over the heating etc and it was lovely to know that nothing would be too much trouble. There are lots of local touches right the way through the cottage, you see the coasters, chocolates and other things in the shops on the Main St. A close friend has created art work which adds to the feel of the cottage. The cottage has off street parking, which is brilliant, it is close to the Main St but tucked away so lovely and peaceful to come home to. A short walk away is a fab fish and chip shop, a butchers/green grocer where they do good sandwiches and a whole host of restaurants to eat in! We chose the Old Registry and can highly recommend - but make sure you book. The bed was the comfiest in Yorkshire! We didn't want to get up!! If you're planning a break away, we would strongly recommend booking into Heather Corner - you will not be disappointed. If you look for quality with attention to detail, look no further. We loved our stay and were sorry to leave.

We had a wonderful weeks break at Heather Corner over Christmas. Our hosts were incredibly thoughtful and added so many festive touches to make Christmas magical and the property feel like a real home-from-Home. We were greeted by Gary on arrival, who showed us around. There was a beautiful Christmas tree, with a gift for each of the family underneath and Laura kept in touch making sure we were enjoying our stay and offering recommendations for local pubs to eat at etc. After snow fall on our departure day, there was even the offer for us to stay on until the roads had cleared, very kind. We would stay again without hesitation. The location is superb, a lovely local butchers/grocers shop a stones throw away and you are literally 2 mins from the bottom of Howarth’s very pretty main cobbled Street. A superb holiday home, where small families are well catered for and made very welcome! Thank you
